I thought it was great to use this service online, however the extra charges like Insurance, Miles, and because we had it for more than 12 hours and gas was over $4.00 gallon made it average and costly.

I did the self check in, it was 11:55pm in the late night /early morning when I got there at the uhaul facility The virtual agent was going to deny me the rental because I did not have a "same state" license. I provided a valid state license and a federal id. Your terms do not provide for this restriction, I rent trucks from numerous providers on a regular basis and have never had such an issue.... plus if you apply this logically if a person is moving into a new state, you cannot expect them to get a new license right away PRIOR to moving! Thankfully I called the 800 number at that late hour and talked with a different agent who had no issue with this whatsoever and was understanding and updated my registration time and I received the lockbox code. This check in took almost an hour! I'm used to this process so I usually can get out of there in 10 min. But more importantly the delay was really uncomfortable - I didn't like being left hanging there while I was alone at such a late hour, however picking up the at that hour worked perfectly for my work schedule. Please note: Driving out to the uhaul facility after work at 12am was challenging enough, I didn't need an agent misapplying the terms and stalling the check in process at that hour, it was very stressful and unnecessary! The return was easy and the staff were attentive and friendly. If I were you I would provide some credit towards my rental out of consideration for having the initial virtual agent have me waiting unecessairly at the facility at 12:45 am while she tries to figure out her error, and after I demanded a supervisor. I am renting a truck from you again on Tuesday.

I already replied to the "GM" in an e-mail and spent 30 minutes speaking with Robert, the customer service representative. He told me a supervisor would be calling me. I can't even begin to describe how upset and disappointed I am with this horrible experience. I am waiting for my call back from the supervisor.

Only complaints are having to wait over an hour in line to pick up truck. Delayed our move almost two hours as pickup destination was changed to a city 40 min south from where I ordered the pick-up. Truck clean.

It was not immediately clear what I use to fuel the cargo van, I was not sure if it was gasoline or diesel at first. I was able to figure out that it was gasoline but if there was markings near the gas port or if they had told me I felt it would have been better.

The only thing wrong was the amount of gas in the truck. They said it had 3/4 of a tank, but when i drove off it was under that, and after i had to wait in line over a half hour to get the truck, so i wasn't about to turn around n tell them about the gas, so i had to add some gas to bring it up to 3/4 after i only drove it for about 8 miles. And didnt feel like trying to convince them that it didnt have that much gas as they said it did.

Have the equipment. Made arrangements on the phone got there and didnt have what they said they had send me to a store 30 min away that was closed. Then had to go to another store over 30 min away.

The only reason I would recommend this location is the amount of vehicles available. That being said the amount of vehicles on the lot provides no customer parking no organization and makes the place look like a U-Haul junkyard. The people working the counter didn't seem to happy we came in to fulfill our reservation and seemed to be going through the motions only because they are paid to do so. I am also tired of always getting the worst truck on the lot for my 200-400 mile one way trips. The quote we get is always $40-$80 less than we get charged. Either the quote is wrong or we are constantly getting over charged, no more. We will not be using U-Haul for our needs in the future.

Need to work on not changing the location. Had a terrible time trying to get the reservation changed. Talked until I was blue in the face with no movement at all. I was forced to drive 50 miles further each way. Not a happy camper about that. I wanted it in Vacaville, reserved it in Fairfield but someone messed up and forced me to go to Vallejo. NOT where I wanted to pick up at. Total PITA for me.

This isn't about this location, but the customer service overall. Making a reservation does nothing. Even though I clicked a box saying I understand this is just a preference I was still depending on the fact that I made the reservation months in advance, so I would get some sort of thought into getting me a truck in my desired location. I kept having to change my plans because my location kept getting change. I will not be returning to U-Haul if the same reservation system is in place. It was ridiculous how much stress and aggravation your reservation system put me through. The Vallejo location had a reservation guarantee but giving me $50 in exchange for losing my truck reservation does me no good when I need to be out of my place!

Please clean the yard on a regular basis. I've used this facility many times and have yet to see it clean of nails, scews, bolts etc. Probably from sweeping out returned equipment but thats no excuse and not fair to the customer and their personal vehicle.
