They didn't check in the trailer when left on their lot. They didn't answer the phone for me or the national staff all day, just leaving their calls forwarding to the national center. I had to call several times, finally visiting the site, unfortunately just after closing. They didn't come to the door, but we held a conversation yelling through the door and across the store so that I could get confirmation that the trailer had been checked in, closed out, and that I didn't get charged an extra day.

Customer service was boring. No hello, no smile, no have a nice day, no thank you for choosing uhaul. Was told to bring back truck at 3/4 tank. We did, but gentleman At San Jose told us Vallejo customer service was wrong and charged us an extra 26.00 give or take a few. So disappointed.

Never provide a Uhaul with less then half a tank of gas. It is absolutely stupid that the first thing I have to do is put gas in the Uhaul after renting it - PRIOR to any furniture moving. Give Uhaul trucks with no less then 1/2 a tank. We fill it up anyways, but it’s super inconvenient to have to fill it up first thing.

As a business owner myself...GOOD COMMUNICATION AND UP TO THE MINUTE UPDATES TO YOUR CUSTOMER are important in customer to business relations!....all tho my over all experience using UHAUL and equipment was good..UHAUL needs to make a better effort and improve in keeping there customers informed/updated..meaning...(in my case)..they opened up the store..discovered somebody sabotaged/cut the wifi/internet line..UHAUL needs and should make it there 1st and utmost importance to instantly call all the customers with reservations that day and let them know that they cant rent the equipment the customer reserved because you dont have access to the internet. I drove an hr in my rv to pick up. A auto transport i reserved via over the phone..get there just for them to tell me they didnt have access to the internet and couldn't rent the equipment to me becuz of that...they open at 7am..my equip pickup scheduled time was 10...they could have called me and informed me of this problem n saved me the useless and gas wasting trip(rv gas mileage of 7mpg)..time as well! Uhaul did find another location along my route that had the auto transport n held it for me. A little compensation back to your customers(and me) would be nice for the inconvenience and time wasted that could have all been avoided with just a SIMPLE CALL TO THE CUSTOMER!!

You! U-HAUL must improve you system! I went around and around about pick up location three times. Then you (U HAUL) would to have me drive all over, to one location to get the truck and then to another to get auto transport. Then the truck I ended up getting ran like crap!!!! Your personell are great you system SUCKS!

Your facility is beyond rundown. To top it off, a used condom was not only in the parking lot, not only where customers specifically pickup and return vehicles, it was quite dirty, showing that it had been there for many days or weeks. The van we rented was clean. The office was filthy.

The side mirror of the truck was rusted, and thus not able to adjust. Also this location put an incorrect drop-off time on the contract, as the drop-off location closed an hour earlier than the contract indicated, which caused problems for me when I dropped the truck off the next day. I recommend you ensure you business locations put the correct drop-off times to avoid confusion and frustrations.

The right front tie down strap assembly was damaged. I had to improvise with a strap of my own. The right tail lamp assembly was damaged when I picked the trailer up. Conclusion: A more thorough inspection and repair of the equipment. The turn in dealer blamed me for the damaged items which were there when picked up.
