The U-haul share program is very difficult to understand when undergoing its execution for the first time. Not enough information is given on how to proceed with the return on the rental vehicle. Because of it being a remote location it might be that vehicles do not get a chance to be cleaned as often. All the UHaul representatives were professional and helpful, except the rep. who gave me information about 2 hrs. before the return deadline, that someone would be at the return location until 5pm. As I found out later, this is incorrect info, because this is an unmanned office. A prompt to my mobile device about an hour before the return deadline, with direction to the Uhaul website for vehicle returns would be helpful. The truck I rented was dirty. When I returned the truck I had issues with opening the lockbox to return the key and the location felt so sketchy (dark and deserted) that I just felt the next best thing to do was to lock the keys in the truck with the hopes that they have a spare key for all of their trucks ðŸ™
The location was very Seedy and dirty, people have dumped garbage and crap everywhere. The van that we rented was covered with dog hair on the interior cab which we didn't see when we were doing our walk around. Clearly had not been sanitized or following Covid regulations also the front windshield had a huge crack going across it on the driver side which we also did not see when walking around the vehicle in a shady carport. Overall bad experience we had to call the toll-free number three times. When dropping off the vehicle we were charged a $25 cleaning fee because we had answered the question â€œwas this vehicle ready to rent to somebody elseâ€ as no. After calling in again we were told we would get a refund for the $25 fee also told we would have a telephone call from the general manager within 48 hours.....will see. Terrible terrible experience we would never rent from them again.
Hard to open your lockbox. Your cargo van are very dirty inside and out, this Is my second time renting from you both time your equipment was dirty.
My truck was not there when I arrived I had to call and the representative said my truck was still under the other customer's name he said he had to change the record other wise I will be charge for the other customer mileage used it was super dirty smelled like someone smoked inside they left their trash all over the seats it was a nightmare the process was terrible
Super easy to come and pick up your truck with maximum social distance. Not sure how things are sanitized in between rentals, so we did it again ourselves just to be sure. The U-Haul caused a few problems as it glitches through and when you get to an important page it disappears immediately and then you have to call Customer Service to get everything handled, so plan on the checkout and check in process taking at least 15-20 minutes.
I got to the location and no one was there and there was a sign in the window that just said â€œTemporarily Closedâ€. I panicked as I was supposed to move that day. Luckily my friend decided to call the number even though no one was in the office and the person that answered seems surprised I was even calling. He told me the lock box code but the gas was on a 1/4 tank and he said the last guy got in too late so he couldn't give me the dolly and furniture pads I ordered. It ended up working out in the end but it was a pretty annoying experience. I will only rent from an actual U-HAUL location going forward.

This is not even where I dropped my uhaul off. But I was â€œchecked outâ€ here before even dropping off my key, they didn't have a key box. I called uhaul and Tamara did an excellent job as well as Dave at uhaul canyon country. Every person I interacted with had incredible customer service but I had to call at pick up and drop off due to issues in the system. I also got upgraded with a discount and was assured uhaul released the funds but haven't seen an update on my card and the website still shows a $611 rental. So I'm not impressed with uhaul but I was very Impressed with uhauls employees

Backup camera wasn't working all the time
the key box Never opened. I wasted hours waiting for someone to get there to help me. He couldn't open the box where the key was. He gave me the van next to the one I was supposed to get. It was frustrating
The pick up process was a nightmare, I will never rent from this type of location again
The u haul application checkout was just awful. The agent Lus was not helpful during the chat and just left us hanging. We called for support as the application was not allowing us to pick up the rental.
The drop off procedure was not clear - I was directed to leave the vehicle keys in the "drop-box" after completing the return online, but was unable to locate any drop-box on site. The only boxes there were three padlocked boxes where I picked up the keys. I called Uhaul to get clarification and (following a ten minute wait) was told to place the keys back in the box where I initially retrieved them. Fortunately, I remembered the lock password and was able to unlock the box and leave the keys inside.
After making the drive and going through the mobile check in process, there was no keys in the key box to pickup the truck!
Make sure previous damage Spots to vehicle are marked for future rentals.
Dolly was requested but upon receipt of rental no dolly was present.
My experience with your company today was nothing short of a disaster. The reservation number was not recognized by your system and I lost close to an hour and baked in the hot sun eventually getting the van as intended with you customer service team. When I cam back to drop off the van the website was down for scheduled maintenance. Seems unlikely in the middle of the day. In any event I deposited the keys in the same box I got them from and left. I have pictures to prove the mileage and unchanged condition of the vehicle. I called the customer service to get this straightened out and they offered to transfer me so I could wait on hold yet again. I'm at my wits end with U-Haul. I want credit for my lost time and confirmation I will not be charged more than the $20 I agreed to due to all the problems above. Please let me know?

I requested counter service when I made the reservation and yet they were closed when I arrived at 11:30 am. I easily wasted an hour with checking out/in the van via your mobile app. It was a frustrating experience.
Make sure dolly and pads are available. If they are not, have a mechanism in place to offer a refund. Also, ensure last person sweeps yard debris and dirt out of the truck.
This location is hard to find, especially with the surrounding construction going on. Perhaps put some signs at the signalized intersection indicating whetw you are. Other than that, the location itself is great. Good parking. And the attendant was very helpful and friendly.
My favorite place to rent. Van is always clean and has gas.
