1. Provide accurate information on the insurance. Initially I was only offered the full coverage, but subsequently was told I could purchase insurance only for the U-Haul truck and not for my belongings being transported. This was about half the cost 2. If customers planning to rent the vehicle trailer, ask if they have experience driving with a trailer being pulled. We decided against renting the trailer because none of us had any experience with this
The pick up location was great. Close for a change. Rt. 66 upland California was great. I told them about my awful uhaul experience 2 weeks prior. They made sure All my rentals were there, close and ready. Helped us problem solve an issue and we were on our way. This move was excellent compared to the hassles, and stress of the prior move. Outside of truck could have been a little cleaner.
No one was wearing a mask (state mandate). I am high risk. I asked the clerk where his mask was. He said his boss said they don't need to wear one. I told him I was high risk. He shrugged his shoulders. I interpreted that as an I don't care. I am a repeat customer, but never again. Flagrant disregard fir the health and safety of their customers. My advice, find a place that does care.

As it turned out, my 2â€ ball was not properly installed on my hitch. My pick up location should not have approved AND should have offered to put it on properly.

I come here every time I need to rent a truck I am very pleased with the staff and the maintenance and cleanliness of the vehicles I highly recommend this U-Haul
At my very first stop (and for the duration of my rental), the truck kept beeping like a light was on when I would turn the truck off and open the door to exit or enter. I called Uhaul as I thought it was user error. The woman, who was very nice, told me to try to turn the knob that adjusts lights. I did as she instructed and the problem persisted. She told me that she did not have any other recommendations I could try. I only rented the truck for one day. The Uhaul customer service woman told me to take it to a local shop, but I was on a time crunch given early closures of the store I was picking stuff up from because of covid so I did not take it. She had also offered someone to come to me, but told me it would take awhile. I never did get the issue resolved. I recommend the truck is tested before it's rented and/or advise the renter if there are any issues with it. Otherwise, the rental was fine.
I hate the â€œverify returnâ€ app. I have rented U-Haul for my entire adult life, and this customer expectation is horrible. What is the purpose of uploading so many photos. My guy told me just to park the vehicle outside if I returned it after 3:00 p.m., deposit the key in the key box, and nothing was said about the damn verify app. Bad experience, bad app. You are asking the customer to do the U-Haul clerk's job. Oh yes, if you don't use the app, U-Haul charges you an additional $20. Garbage, just garbage.
Fast and friendly service amidst the covid19 chaos moving is stressful but this location made getting the truck smooth and fast! Thank you so much!!

Truck was pulling to the left and the trailer was very unstable.
Going through Route 66 for the u-haul van rental was super easy and adorable. I called 4 home depot's and no moving vans available. Was a quick in and out and I was in the van and on my way here. Will use them again when I need to!

Owner / Operator was very professional and took the time to throughly make sure the car transporter was hooked up correctly. Will definitely rent from this location again in the future.
Let people know how the experience is supposed to go. While the location was great the online experience was horrible. I didn't know I was supposed to do something beforehand, nor did I know I was supposed to do stuff online when I dropped off the truck or I would be charged an extra $20. I dropped off the truck 2 hours before I got the text message to fill out online information. 5 minutes after the place closed. I wasn't told that when I leave the keys in the dropbox I was also supposed to do a bunch of other things or be charged an extra $20. I was just told to leave the truck parked and put the keys in the dropbox. I also wasn't told to put the dolly in the truck before I locked it until I got the text message to return the truck 2 hours after I had returned the truck. I also couldn't check-in online. You should really work on the online experience, as this was one of the worst experiences I had using online software. The person who I check me in was very nice and was able to help me check-in. He also saw me as I dropped off the truck 5 minutes after the office closed as he was leaving work. I was told he would check in my stuff in the morning. I didn't know I would be charged $20 for him doing that. This should have been made clear when I made my reservation online.
Have the equipment I need so I don't have to settle for something less adequate. The equipment I needed was there when I arrived but when I tried reserving it the website kept telling me it was unavailable.
