I love U-HAUL, they are the best. Whatever you need they have or will get it. I recommend u-haul to anyone that needs help moving. I will always use u-haul for anything that I need moved.

Returned truck at time stated an put keys in box before realizing that I would have to clock mileage an take a picture. So because of that I was charged double

Make sure truck is properly maintained. It was raining the day I returned the truck and I had a damaged windshield wiper. Also, the handle on the back of the truck was rusty and difficult to work with.
The only problem was the self drop off. The area to put the trailer was blocked by trucks and the parking lot wasn't accessible. We had to put it by other trailers but the instructions weren't very clear.
Service at the UHaul was fine. They got me out quickly. UHaul is the bottom of the barrel and I would never rent one except that it's hard to get a Penske truck these days. You still have trucks, even if they have 100k miles or more. Your 15 foot truck is really a 12 foot truck. The floor is 12 feet. Ceiling measurements don't matter. The gas tank intrusion into the back is annoying. It's made more annoying by the presence of a hand truck and blankets on the other side that I didn't order and would have to pay for if I moved them. They take up space on an already undersized truck and between the hand truck and the gas filler, it's impossible to slide a heavy thing in on either side.
This was the BEST U-Haul experience i have had since dealing with your company. Manager, Dedric & employee, Ron are personable, attentive & demonstrated great customer service.
I was told my truck might be rented prior to my pick up if the pickup location had not received my reservation yet I would recommend that reservations be sent immediately to the pickup location after all that's why you make a reservation As it turned out I was able to get the truck I had reserved
Dedric was so nice and joyful. When our needs arise we will be back.

This location was very helpful. We told them what we were moving and they help us on the size of truck and the extra things we needed for the move. We have any surprises. Everyone at 33rd & Yale were very knowledgeable and help us a lot. I would use this location again. On scale of 1-10 I would definitely give them a 10!!!!

I was not informed by the woman working there that there would be a $20 charge for them to check in my vehicle the next day. I did not know that I needed to "check in" the vehicle myself on my phone... if I had known that I absolutely would have done that. I'm sure it says that in the fine print of the contract but, as I'm sure you guys know very well, that when someone is moving they hardly have the awareness to read a contract when they are thinking of a thousand other things. I feel ripped off.

I rented a van @ U Haul for $19.99 per day. I extended rental 3 times, each approved by U haul. I was denied an extension on 4th day and was threatened to report the van as stolen. I was told by "Ron" the van was reserved for 8am next morning and U haul had no other vans. Van was returned @ 2 AM. I received damage report to a "latch" on one of the doors. The report stated incident happened at 2:30 PM,12 hours AFTER I returned van. And what about the new reservation for 8am? Could that customer have damaged the van? I know I didn't . I was charged for pads, dolly, and boxes that I did not order. I also was given the van keys by "Thomas" before I was fully checked in. All the reports were made by "Thomas". I have 2 pending charges $508 & $373. One for rental, the other for damages. These charges are under investigation, and I hope U Haul will correct this to my favor. This situation has caused me financial delay and stress. I cannot speak on other locations, but 33rd and Yale should be avoided.

Dedric at 33rd and Yale location is my hero!! Knowledgeable, friendly, polite, masked, santized everything we had to touch (keys, etc.) and solved a problem for us that wasn't his doing quickly and happily. I've been an HR Manager for 20 years. You need to keep that guy, train him and promote him if he's interested!
What I don't understand is why the staff cannot wear the mask the entire time I am inside their office building. The staff was very friendly, courteous, knowledgeable even though two of the people I dealt with were trainees they we're doing well, they won't wear the mask! It's protecting them as well as me and my family and I am going to be very unlikely about using U-Haul in the future because of this.
