Jasmin the reservation manager at the Canyon Ciuntry location lied to me about the rate after I called to let her know that we would return the truck to the same location. She mentioned our rate would convert from one way to local at $19.95. When we returned the truck we ended up paying more than $200. I called to verify with Jasmin and she hung up on me. She shouldn’t be in customer service if she won’t listen to customers.

it was congested and to many street helpers around and I didn't feel safe. The gas gauge did not work. I will not go to this location again.

I have usually had good experience with U-haul. This was by far the best. I think that it is important that the employee handling the lease spends a little time with the customer and answer questions before he/she drives away. But I understand that it can get busy in a small operation with only 2 people.

Javier treated us like criminals because the person who set up the rental (Sylvia) had a paper driver license from the DMV until her card was mailed (having lost hers and renewed at DMV, which is a VALID license) and could not pay with her debit card with matching name simply because Javier couldn't see her photo. (Since debit card requires a PIN, this is already getting silly.) That was after he refused to take a corporate credit card because her name wasn't on it after she made the reservation online with that card. She was there to pay, I was there to drive. I then had to put it on my personal card because I had a license with photo to prove it was my debit card. He told us an authorization would be put on the card, but only for a deposit. The entire rental of $371 ended up being put on hold and tying up that much funds in my account so our company had to cut me a check so my personal account would have funds for my use. This was NOT what Javier explained, and he should have made that very clear. Re the truck : Windshield was filthy, looked like wipers were worn so could not properly clean windshield and it was very dingy to see through. Gas level was at a little over 1/2 a tank and yet contract said 3/4. He circled the area just past half a tank on my contract after checking it before giving me the keys, but when I returned the truck I didn't have it with me, so he said I did not put in enough gas on return, so we had to argue about it for several minutes when it was clear by the odometer that I had traveled less than 10 miles total so there was no way I could have used that much gas and not refilled what I had used. He should have had it documented in your records as to where the gas level was so he didn't have to accuse the customer of not putting in gas, with a "you're screwed because you don't have your contract" approach. The truck was slow to shift so would rev loud when in low gear until it would finally shift, so the transmission seems to need attention. For all of the above reasons, I would never use that location again. Javier is is not a customer-oriented person, and comes across as a clock-puncher that feels customers are an inconvenience, and seems to find every which way to make things more difficult. His big sign on the glass that he takes lunch between 2-3pm with no exceptions is also just another way of imparting his disdain for incoming business. Made the reservation online, which was supposed to make things faster and smoother, which it didn't seem to do at all.

Rude attendant. Lock on back gate of truck was jammed and he gave me a hard time about it. Transmission and brakes were in poor condition. AC was extremely weak That’s what I get for trusting a non uhaul site. Never again

My overall experience was good at the Tujunga Chevron was great! But my reservation was at the Van Nuys U Haul location... and after time waisted trying to track down my truck I had to drive to the Tujunga location to pick up the truck, for that you get less than one star!!!

Put up a sign near the U-Hauls that says to go into the chevron office for service. Also don’t advertise that truck-share lockbox thing, because that doesn’t exist at this location and it’s very confusing to have people sign up for it.

For the record, Javier is a great help at this location. He just may need more help! The van I needed for just a day and about 60miles was given to me really filthy, looked to have been out and used cross country, oily rear bed liner(most my clean boxes and me got oily from it), and never cleaned since new(van had 2970’s miles on it). The whole Chevron operation at Tujunga could be much better if equipment was checked, cleaned and well maintained. Very disappointed with this UHaul experience since I have had many over the years. Just not the way to use new, low mileage van.
