The store is in a pretty bad area of town. I definitely won't be going back there to do business again. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Proper signage would improve experience
The location lacked professionalism and seemed put out that I would want to observe the observation of the checking of the condition of the returned vehicle and expect a receipt before leaving the location. The expectation was that I would just drop the vehicle off and leave immediately. This was a Midas Muffler store making a fast buck off of people using U-Haul to move across the country. That makes 2 out of 3 unprofessional experiences with U-Haul in 1 5 day experience with your company. I will have to check out alternative options for truck rental companies in the future. This did not come close to meeting my expectations of your company. YOU ARE SLIPPING. I still do not have an official copy showing my billing for this rental. It's not ideal to have it mixed with another business although the employee was helpful and knowledgable.
The pick up I recenty rented needed some cleaning on the inside very badly. Then the clerk never sent a reciept to my email.
Owner refused to walk around with us to look for damage. He stated just to take pics and if there was a problems to email pics, but did not give us any specific email. Inside the UHaul was full of mud and bugs and when we asked about why it wasn't clean, he stated that he doesn't clean them. We would have to do it ourselves. The tires were packed in mud pretty bad. The man could nit help with the military discount and told me that I would have to call. We went to a full service U-Haul and an employee with an idea #828058 stated that he had applied discount but the drop off point would give us the difference. That did not happen. Last we rented blankets, 3 dz. He stated that each bag had a dz. the bags were all opened. We did not count them but ended up 8 short. When we called back, he basically stated that we should of counted them before we left his location. Been using UHaul for the last 30 years for moving and besides this moving issue trying to get a hold of U-Haul 800 # is like the second coming. Avg time on hold is 30-50 min.
I rented and returned within 24hrs but you charged me for 3 days. You also charged me for gas even though I returned it with the same 1/4 tank as when I took it out. Now the location says they can't help me. I called uhaul directly and was told someone would call me back but noone ever did. You owe me a refund of $101.
Poor customer service and dismissive/condescending.
The staff was friendly and efficient, nice gentleman.
I'd like to know what the $10.00 CDW charge on my bill is for.

Horrible time getting keys since website was down
I had the worst experience today, but it was more so the people representing you guys! Midas is the worst! I was over charged and very disappointed
Do NOT over charge gasoline. We have rented before from you but never again. The gas level was below Â½ but just a little or so we thought. We rented a small pick up truck for exactly one hour and drive 11 miles and we're charged $11.90 for gas. This is wrong. Clearly, we did NOT consume that much gasoline traveling 11 miles. What a scam! Next time we will rent from Home Depot and tell others to do the same.
Slow check out
Still waiting to get my refund. I was not Happy with the Ina Rental because as we stood in line to pick up our rental that was Reserved over a month in advance and listened as they rented our last 10 footer to someone else. Then they sent us to Oracle to get the truck I ordered, so I wasted time and gas and miles out of my way. Not good business practice. BUT Oracle was great. Wish I had gone there in the first place.
When I picked truck up I was told charge would be $29.99 or $29.95. I asked the gentleman to be sure. Why am I being charged $39.95.
I really enjoyed the customer service I received, the person who took care of my needs made an horrible day better with his great attitude and smile. I look forward to working with them again while I finalize my transition.
I was asked to hook up the trailer myself, and I declined. I did have to unhook it when I returned it 3 hours later during normal business hours when they were open. Also, no safety chains were on the trailer, so none were attached to my towing vehicle. I thought safety chains were required...?
The truck I was given had not been cleaned from the previous rental. They did not have the Appliance Dolly that I had requested with my online reservation. I had to drive out of my way to another U-Haul location to get an Appliance Dolly. I only receive 11 of the 12 moving blankets that I requested with my reservation. The name on the location building was actually Midas not C&C Tucson Rental (very confusing when I was trying to find it).
I was charged more then what my reservation was for. agent wouldn't let me leave with the tailor unless i paid for the insurance even though i clearly selected that i would reimburse u haul if anything happens. Agent also would not give me a copy of any paper work or receipt.
I had reserved a van at the Auto Mall location, once I got there I was sent to a different location to rent a 15' van. I was not told that the Uhaul location I had been sent to was a Midas on Oracle and Fort Lowell. I passed it 3 times until I realize where it was. Although I had good customer service by Mike White there at Midas, I had told Mike I was going from the Northwest side to the southwest side and the location on Ajo Way/6th Ave was closer to drop off the van he said that would be fine. When I dropped off the van at Ajo Way/6th Ave the guys there were not friendly, and not helpful at all. They just said they couldn't accept the van because it was not theirs and didn't even explain to me why. I had to drive to the Midas Location across town adding additional mileage to my final cost when I was already at a Uhaul location. I was very upset because not only I wasted time and gas in my own car driving around to drop off the van, now I had to drop it off 10 miles and 30 minutes further. I dropped off the van at Midas and it was already closed. I then drove to the Auto Mall location so they could explain to me what went wrong and why the Ajo Way/6th Ave location could not accept the van. I was told after the guy there looked it up in the computer, that Mike White had set up the rental van as a in town contract and this is why another location could not accept the van.. if I would have been told and explained this ahead of time then again I would have not had an issue and would have acknowledged this.. I specifically told him the Ajo Way/6th Ave was closer and that was the location I would be dropping the van at and he replied to me, â€œsure you can do that, that will be fine.â€ I request for a recalculation of the miles and for a refund of the difference. It's a muffler shop and not obvious as a return location as no U Haul equipment in parking area. But service was fast and friendly.
