I used the online system to make a reservation for a 10 foot truck from 1 pm to 7 pm. I arrived at the dealer location and he said he can't give me the 10 foot truck because someone had booked it from 4 pm. That's a flaw in the system that it should allow me to book it from 1 pm for 6 hours even though no truck was available for that long. So I had to manage with a cargo van instead. When returning the truck (after closing hours)) I refilled it to 1/2 tank capacity then the next morning I get charged $20 extra for fuel claiming that I returned the truck at 1/4 capacity which is not even possible because the trip i made would not consume that much gas in the first place let alone after I filled it up. I'm very disappointed by this service. I wasted my time figuring out an alternative to the 10 foot truck and now I have to waste more time calling the dealer to correct this error claiming I returned the truck at 1/4 fuel.

I would recommend it only because of geographic location. The lot had garbage everywhere and they didn't have the trolley that I had reserved online. They were short staffed as well.

I was quoted $0.49 per km and was charged $0.59 per km. My receipt shows a fuel charge of $13.00 after I drive the vehicle 9 km. This is disappointing and I will not use U-Haul again nor will I recommend it. I will however tell everyone about my poor experience.

Staff was asleep when I arrived and provided poor customer service. The vehicle smelled awful, even with the windows down I couldn’t stand the stench. I’m not usually picky about experiences, but there was certainly a lot to improve upon. Everything from the sleeping staff, the stench, and the weeds that needed to be plucked. I’d love to work here for a week just to spruce it up and help guide my co-workers to excellent customer service. We had done express check in and still had to wait a long time for pick up. When we picked up we were told we couldn’t have the 10ft truck we had rented and that we must take a 15ft. This made a big difference for highway driving., parking etc. We didn’t have a choice to cancel as we needed to get our daughter to Queen’s otherwise we would have.

Your customer service person that worked there was excellent. Your mobile experience was awful. At the end of the process, the app simply told me that I couldn't rent a vehicle with no explanation. The agent saved the day but the online experience was shit. Do better.

Uhaul told me I'd be able to drop off my truck at queens st location which is right next to my house and then the day before my move tell me I "have" to bring it to Weston rd which was over an hour away on a Friday night of a long weekend! I absolutely refused and just dropped off the truck and threw the keys inside anyway. Uhaul willl change your order at their will and you'll have no say in it (I ordered a 10' truck and when I showed up they gave me a 17' ) Go to Enterprise or a small local-owned operation !

I have filed a complaint as we were charged without notice for an extra day fee, although the trailer was returned within the 7-day time frame. I expect to hear back from Management within 3 business days, as advised by main dispatch.

I asked the customer rep how long do you get a truck or van for. She said that it was 4 hrs. Not knowing how long I would have taken to load the van and travel all the way to Scarborough ( not experienced), I speculated that I may need it for 2 hrs. After a short break in which I assumed that she consulted a sup, she told me that I would have it for 2 hrs, not withstanding the fact that she told me 4 hrs before and did not ask me how far I was going. I consider this exploitation as she is the experienced one with this matter and most likely saw this as an opportunity to add another customer to the day's activity. After 2 hrs I which was inadequate for my move, I was told that the van was overdue and that I will have to pay late fees of $50 per hr late. I ended up paying about $300+ for my move and I feel I have been scammed. I certainly will not recommend U-haul to anyone needing to move.

Booked my van for 530 pick up a 15ft. Showed up at 515 to be early and get a head start. My van was not there. The person serving said there was only 10 ft. He said there was a van being dropped off soon. Nothing came. Had to wait until 7 when the server said he couldnt do anything, so had to settle for the 10 ft. Was an 2 hours late for my move, had to pay the movers extra for time delay. Plus had to do two trips int he van to complete the move. Would like a response on this, as it really caused me alot of headache and extra money due to van not being available. Please advise.

I booked my truck for Saturday morning in Thornhill and did not get a truck until Saturday at 330 pm downtown. This was totally unacceptable. And it also required me to drive AND PAY FOR an extra 55km to get from downtown Toronto to Thornhill. I would like to be reimbursed for some of this and all my troubles. I am NOT happy with the service I received. I talked to a customer service rep on Wednesday and they gauranteed me a truck Saturday morning in Thornhill. It is not ok for me to be gauranteed something and then not receive it,

Hire staff so there is more than one worker every time to avoid line ups and to improve quality of customer service. A bunch of cowboys at present fleecing dimes from unknowing customers. Disappointing and sad. Will never use U-Haul again and have not one good thing to say about the brand unfortunately damaged by uncaring employees.

Customer help line extremely slow- waited 45 min for someone to answer. One time someone hung up on me. When I initially ordered U-Haul- person was extremely friendly and courteous. He did a great job I had requested a U-Haul pickup at 8:30am/in the morning as I had booked an elevator. I kept trying to call to get confirmation of my U-Haul pickup time. No one could tell me anything despite calling numerous times and waiting a collective 2 hours for someone to answer my call. Finally someone called at 6:50pm the day before and said our U-Haul would not be available until 3:30pm the next day. This is extremely unacceptable and unfair given the ripple effect it had on myself and the people who were moving in to the place I was moving out of. It also left us with no other choice as we could not look for another rental company on such short notice. Very disappointed in this service

I am absolutely blown away with how terrible I have been treated by Uhaul/Movers Choice. I missed my moving window yesterday because the 15ft truck that was guaranteed to be there for me never showed up. Your staff member, Badar Almantishily, was extremely rude, unhelpful, and unapologetic. He would not offer me any updates on the status of my reserved truck, telling me that calling customer service was my only option. He is the worst service employee I have ever dealt with. 3 hours later, after I had already missed my moving window causing me to leave all of my furtnature and belongings on the street, I was offered two 10ft trucks in lieu of my 15ft that never showed up. I was only supposed to be charged for one of these trucks, and should also recieve $50 compensation for my truck not being there. Instead, $175 has been charged to my credit card even though Badar specifically said I wouldn't be charged until I spoke to the Area Manager on Monday. He lied to my face and charged me anyways. There is more to the story that I don't care to type out. The service I have recieved has been an absolute joke. I expect a full refund on the second truck, as promised, and all additional fees removed. This has been a terrible experience which I will share with anyone considering a truck rental from uhaul.
