Hours for this location were different than listed online. Really long, frustrating, and confusing check-in process that assumes you'd have a smartphone and data plan available to browse Uhaul email and very crappy website for nearly 20 minutes in the freezing cold. Taking photos of myself, and having to provide extra emergency contact information to you felt invasive. The actual trailer at this location that is meant to be the "office" seems very poorly maintained, is dirty, falling apart, not shovelled or salted, trash and dollies and uhaul equipment scattered all over the lot and leaned against the vehicles. Lot itself was like a mud pit. Keys to every vehicle on the lot were in my lockbox - anyone could take any vehicle they wanted it seemed, looked especially un-secure to me. Didn't make me feel confident leaving my keys behind when returning the van. Really not happy at all with the lack of service I received with this rental.

The vehicle was saturated with a very strong, unpleasant odour. Before i left the parking lot, I called the agent to alert him to this so I would not be held responsible for this. He replied, not sounding surprised, “Oh, that’s the homeless...sometimes they sleep in the vehicles” I was dumbfounded by his reply, and with no apology or any offer of a remedy to the situation. I had no choice but to use the vehicle that was assigned to me because no one was onsite to provide me with a different vehicle. In spite of driving around with the windows open, the strong odour remained. It saturated our clothes and the chesterfield that we had rented the van to move. Since you asked, I am very very very unhappy. The ball is in your court. What are you going to do?

Requested a larger truck from head office for 3+ bedroom house and when i got yo yhe loaction they gave me a 15 footer which is pretty much half of what I needed. Had to do the move in 2 runs delay the whole process by at least 3 hours as well as double the millage so you made more money and I paid more. When you say 3+ that should automatically mean the largerst truck. Not sure why head office has to low ball the truck and try to sell people something that they didn't want. Obviously the morning of a move is too late to look else where for trucks.

Ensure breaks are working and responding. I had to slam the breaks hard multiple times to ensure the Truck stops when needed. The Tires also need balancing to ensure safe ride on Highway. Clarity is needed on exact fuel billing as I got overcharged. A day before I was going to be downgraded, on my insistance they let me have the car. More needs to be done to maintain the trucks.

I made an appointment for 11am. When we got to the location for 11, we had to wait almost an hour to be served. Then when it was our turn, the gentleman working said that I did not have an appointment booked and he had to take the people behind us because their appointment was for 10am. I proceeded to show him my email confirming my 11am appointment. He then said I made the appointment at another location! I showed him the address I was given and it was definitely for that location. it was past 12pm before we finally received our vehicle. Not to mention that day was -30 degrees celsius!

The card reader doesn't accept chip cards so I'm forced to do an online check in. The online experience is really bad and takes longer than waiting in line. You should accept chip cards

The trailer door stuck at about 1 feet and had to bang on the top to let it slid - this happened all the time. The location is very tight to reverse the trailer and would have been impossible for me if I did not have a 4X4. The customer service was Great!!! I originally called the 800 number to reserve the trailer however the operator refused to do so since I did not have the tow specification - I can understand why she refused however, as previously done, all I had to do is to give the my truck info (both by calling or on line) and it was approved - I also gave her my telephone number which she pulled up my information from previous contract. This delayed us by one whole day and had to put 18 hr day on friday to catch up. Very frustrating - never had any issues in the past and I love renting UHaul trailers and always recommend them to all my friends

I was told that the gas tank was at 7/16 and to fill it up to there prior to returning the vehicle - the gas was clearly lower than that, it was at 6/16 or 3/8. In total I drove 10 km and had the truck on for no longer than an hour but had to put 20$ of gas to get it back to that level.
