Have more gas in the tank prior to a new customer renting a vehicle, and clear the snow out. Take notice of the manager. If there are multiple managers at 999 Danforth it was the gentleman working on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017. He was exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable through pickup and delivery. I got very good service that was professional and friendly.

First I made a contract to take the equipment after business hours, and when I got to the location I found out that no equipent was prepared for me. I called the call center and I was told that Since the account was in my name and the driver was my friend, I couldn't take the equipment, I would have liked to be told of this before I went to the location on at night on a temperature of -11C. Also in the following day, when I got there I was told by the uhault representative that that location is not working with our of business time locations, which I would also have liked to be told previously about.

Have an express check in. We can provide our credit card and picture of our licence ahead of time via a web page. We would only have to show our ID to get our vehicle. Why..... Two people were ahead of me and it took 20 minutes to get me truck.

Booked 2 vehicles 3 weeks early. 1 x 10' and 1 x 15' for 3 days for a charity event. I believe I spoke to reservations, not the actual location. The gentleman I ordered with was great and offered me the 15' and 10' both for the 10' price and mentioned that he noticed I've booked these 2 vehicles a number of occasions. He asked what time I wanted to pick it up and I was clear that I wasn't sure, but it would be after 6 pm as I worked until 5:30 and had to make my way over. He said no worries, it would be available at 5:30 just in case. When I got the confirmation email, they were both 15' trucks at regular rate and I made a note to call back then got busy and ended up just accepting them and that the extra space may come in handy. When I arrived at the pickup spot, 999 Danforth Ave Toronto, around 6:55 pm, just before they closed, they had neither vehicle for me. I was late and they gave them away. They did not call me to ask if I was still coming and I didn't know there was a 1 hour window. I have rented from U-Haul a half a dozen times and have never been told this. There we're unable to and unwilling to help me. They had a cargo van which I took and had to drive a long way away to find another cargo van the next day. The weekend was quite difficult without the larger vehicles and made for multiple trips back and forth dues to the small cargo hold and thus increased costs in mileage. I am very unhappy with the situation and mostly about how uncaring, unprofessional and blunt the Danforth location was about this.

This location was very polite and efficient. However, everything leading to the pick up was not efficient or pleasant. The reservation system is extremely flawed. I understand no guarantee can be made prior to the day before, but such a wide selection should not be even available if it doesn't seem likely. furthermore, from my own personal experience, my reservation was changed numerous times, from both email and text messages, and even phone conversations which were all recorded to prove. i was so disappointed in the whole process and it was made extra stressful, since other factors like coordinating help, booking elevators, and deliveries were all dependant on the timing of the pickup/move from the truck. I would not recommend uhaul to anyone i know.

Notify Users that the speedometer on the car is in MPH in canada as a first time user I did not notice for a while and this can lead to unnecesary speeding. Otherwise excellent service!

The van was dirty and smelling like manure. It was not such a good experience to put moving boxes with personal items in a dirty car. According to the personnel, it was the only available van. Regrding the credit card transaction, I was charged on $107,29 while the receipt I've received was of $100,09.

Despite this locations ideal location, everything else about my experience trying to get a truck and dealing with U-HAUL customer service afterwards was horrible. The truck I reserved wasn't there when I arrived, and after waiting for an hour I ended up having to take a truck I hadn't reserved, without the equipment I reserved. I spoke to two U-HAUL customer service agents who said I would be credited for my inconvenience, but when I received my receipt almost nothing that I had been told would be applied to the final price had been done. I sent two emails asking about this discrepancy and got no response, so finally I had to again call U-HAUL customer service twice, because the first customer service person lied and said that I *had* initially booked the larger truck I ended up taking. I have honestly never submitted a bad public review of anything in my short life, but my experience with U-HAUL was so shockingly bad that I feel like other people should know how much of a hassle they might be in for.

a comment about the online booking: my booking was for me, Paul Farnan, which i have the receipt for with my name on it, but the account and the contract receipt email (contract 21821429) is addressed to Glen Paul-Chomiak, who i listed as my principle driver. It was very confusing to the guys at the rental office. I think you might have a glitch in your online form.

Don't advertise that you can pay interac then show up, have to wait two over because of an over-booking, then deny a customer for wanting to pay interace. That would surely improve things. I ended up paying credit but was charged triple what I was originally quoted online. Extremely disappointed by the entire experience. I hope this feedback is useful somehow, becUse I would like to see this company's behaviour changed. I will be using another service next time if thos doesn't improve.
