I booked for pick up at a location near where I needed the trailer. Was unilaterally changed to a location that was a great distance away and involved heavy traffic and using a class 400 hwy. Called to address this and got someone in the southern united states who had no clue and couldn't solve the problem. Finally got connected with someone local who was able to move pick up to a much more reasonable location.

I had to drive to the other end of the city to pick up this trailer one hour later than my confirmed reservation was for. Unsympathetic, unhelpful and all around useless customer service.

It was a very bad experience that costs me 100s of dollars. I went to pick up the truck and was told it was not available as the previous renter would not return it. Then I was sent to another location to pick up another van and was told the dolly and pads were in the van but when my movers got to my house they realized they were not in the van at all. When we called U-Haul they said that we would have to go all the way back to get the missing equipment..this was not possible so then I had to rent one. I am now out $250.00 and think I should be compensated..I also logged a complaint online yesterday as I could not get through on the phone.

Prompt, efficient and friendly service. The gentleman who hooked up my trailer went above and beyond, in intensely hot weather and was gracious when my wiring connection didn’t work at first. When I returned the trailer, the lady who unhooked it for me was chatty and helpful, getting me out of there quickly at the end of a long day. Great staff made moving that much easier!

I was told I could keep the truck after hours and drop off the keys but on the day i picked up the truck they said it had to be back by a certain hour so I had to change my moving schedule. It was fine but this was annoying and shouldnt happen.

My online booking was for 1230pm. I received a text notification saying that my rental would be for 4pm. Called the Laird office and they said 3 would be the earliest I could pick up the vehicle. They advised me to call Uhaul to see if other locations would have availability. I waited a full hour on the customer service phone line before talking to a human, who promptly dropped the call while transferring me to scheduling. On the day of the rental, the Laird office called me and told me the truck wouldn't be ready until 4. I asked if I could come in earlier to pick up my trolleys so that I could at least get started on moving my contents from my apartment. They said yes, but then after I drove to the office told me they didn't have any trolleys. By the time we actually got the truck it was 5 pm, meaning we had to move outside of the time our building alloted us the service elevator. Moreover, the utility trolley and the furniture trolley we had selected when reserving were not available, meaning we had to move all of our contents without the benefit of trolley assistance. The lady who we dealt with at the office offered no apology or explanation for these inconveniences, and seemed genuinely surprised and unconcerned with my frustration. I will likely never use this company's services again.

Waited an hour in line to pickup truck. Also told that location opened at 10am. Arrived at 9:45am to find several customers in front of me, some of whom had arrived as early as 9am even though the location claims to only open at 10am. Only one staff on site to process customers. This site is far too busy and large to have only one customer service representative. Also too busy to open at 10am. I would not recommend picking up truck at this location due to poor staffing and hours.

Check the smell of the cabs in every vehicle before renting it out to someone. Your vehicles might be used for transporting live stock and believe me they will stink if the vehicle is not cleaned up properly. I have never done it myself but the cargo van I got stank very bad. If I had the time I would've definitely gone back and asked for a replacement. There was only one person in the front of the house. I was surprised. She was not a very professional one or a good communicator either. Just a genuine and prioritiesing well make everyone's life easier when you are in service industry. There is a lot of room for improvement I'm sorry to say. You just have to train people properly. Best luck..

I made my rental location online and picked the location nearest to me in North York. When i received my rental location confirmation days before my rental date, the pickup location was far away and downtown where the traffic is a bit more nerve racking to drive a 20’ truck. When i called to ask why it was not the location i chose and why it was so far away, i was told that is the closet location with 20’ trucks. Then when I rent the truck, they do not have moving blankets or the furniture dolly that i reserved online. They tell me two dedicated uhual locations that i can go to rent the blankets and dolly. Ironically now, they are both close to my home in North York, 15 minutes away. Now when i try to rent the moving blankets they tell me that i cannot leave them with my uhual truck since it is a one way rental, they must be brought back to the location. Why didnt the lady at the first uhual location, who knew i was on a one way trip, Check to make sure they were available for one trips? Horrible experience. Set me back hours on my move day and had friends who came to help just waiting. They didnt mind but i did. I do not think i will use uhual again.

The pick up experience sucks. I did everything online and I had to wait in the same line as all other customers. Why not expedite it? The staff did not care. There were 5-6 people lined up after me. I called ahead got there before opening. For moving, one is most stressed at the start and you could do a lot to maintain it. ALSO - the game of gas. The tank was half full. And I was told to return half full. What kind of nonsense is that? Why not make it full and return full. I had to guess the gas to return it. Petty. Very petty.

The young lady that looked after us at this location was super professional and very welcoming. Sorry that I forgot her name. She even backed up the big truck for us when we returned. It's nice to have people like her that are super humans. She is a keeper. Peter

I'm offended by lazy office staff who ignore customers while they chat in the back room wasting my valuable time. It is expensive to get customers! Why piss them off with the attitude you don't care about serving them? I waited a more than reasonable amount of time before speaking up and then I got a bad attitude because I dared to speak up to the presiding authoritarian, whom clearly believes customers can bloody well wait until she is good and ready to face them. I would fire her ass.
