Only problem was even though we reserved it, we still had to wait. Also if they start the process and a customer walks in, they leave you to check the other customer out which I kind of understand but after 8 customers, it is a little frustrating. Not sure if reserving it saved anytime or not. Overall good experience. Still hate that uhaul charges so much per mile but thats not the rental places fault... That is a uhaul issue.
The only complaint was the pricing. The price per mile should not be so high. We only used it for half a day and were at our 60 mile estimate so we returned it. After 50 miles, there should be a discounted mileage rate or something. $0.99 per mile is just way too much. We need to rent another one for this weekend but I do not know if we will becayse of how expensive the mileage is. Besides that we had a great experience.
The equipment was just thrown on the back. I only used the rental for 3hrs. But was charged way to much. I dont recommend no one to rent from that location. I was supposed to pick up at 8am. But didn't get the rental until 9:30. The person didn't know how to access online rental app. I was told one price but paid another.
I was told i went 70 something miles to lavonia and back when my van was drove the exact same amount of miles that day and it was only 24 miles so do I recommend them no i don't they didnt check the mileage or vehicle before we left in it. There was a cup and charger in it clearly showing that someone had drove it prior to us using it. Lavonia is only 10 miles and my place was only 3.8 miles away so 10 plus 10 plus 3.8 i shouldnt have ever had to owe money they tried saying that lavonia was 35 miles from toccoa i said no it wasnt that driving 70 something miles is like going to Atlanta. Ive been to lavonia n back nearly 4 times now n my van and im just now on 70 something miles for my trips so far. I dont think its right at all but what can i do about it nothing at all.

Went to return the U haul which had been paid in full, we were charged more money which was charged to the credit card I had used to pay in full with. When we rented the U haul we were told that we were covered for 2 days or 127 miles. We wasted 2 hours to return the U haul and we should not have been charged any more money, an hour was also wasted on the phone with Customer Service trying to get the charge, and also the refund to my credit card straightened out. It was an awful experience.
Had absolutely no clue what they were doing. Asked me 6 times to step aside when another customer walked in the store and completed each of their transactions before starting mine and told me to wait til later for him to do the paper work to return it that I could come back â€œsoonâ€ to sign the papers.
I prefer to use locations with U-haul is primary business as opposed to gas stations with a few trucks.
I have used U-Haul over 12 times over the last 11 years. I was beyond disappointed. I will warn others in the future. Though the other truck rental is not as prevalent as this one, next time I will use them and simply plan in advance to drive out of the way for their product.
Cab of truck looked like someone vomited all over front set. All had 8 moving pads and was charged for the extra 4 that was missing when I pick up the truck. Guy behind the counter didnt speak English.
Don't let a head shop that openly sells drug paraphernalia be a U-Haul location. The guy at the location did not know how to do U-Haul work on the computer and told us â€œCome back at 11â€ for our 8am pick up. When he called the owner after I said that was unacceptable, the owner proceeded to cuss me out over face time on the clerk's phone. It was only by calling actual U-Haul that this got straightened out and we got the equipment. I gave this location 1 star only because this survey would not let me give it -5 stars.
I had a truck reserved for 10:00 am. I arrived at 10:30 and was told to come back at noon in broken English. After 25 minutes and the employee FaceTiming his boss I was able to leave with the truck - but only after I was sent to get the furniture pads myself from a smoke filled corner of the facility. The truck obviously wasn't checked by staff after the previous use as it reeked of the spoiled McFlurry that was left in the vehicle by a prior user. When I finished the move and returned the truck I had to go back out to the truck and take a picture of the gas gauge and odometer for the staff to finalize the bill. The staff didn't seem to care about anything.. After an inordinate time trying to resolve the bill - which the dealer was charging different rates than the website offered for he typical â€œadd-oneâ€ I was charged the wrong mileage rate. The employees only explanation was â€œthat's what is in the system.â€ It didn't seem to matter that my reservation (or their U-haul page) showed the lower rate. They won - I finally gave up with your getting the correct mileage rate but I vowed to NEVER do business there again and to share this experience so others can make a better decision than I did.
Was told one mileage rate and billed for a higher rate. Called beforehand to get a truck and got there and was told I would have to wait until a certain time to get it. Language barrier was terrible and then the guy gets mad at me because I couldn't understand him. Terrible service
He did not come to check the truck he had me to take a picture with my cell of the milage/gas. I called for directions he asked like he did not understand English. ????
These people were very unprofessional, not friendly at all and they didn't want me to leave the uhaul unit there. I pray you get a better uhaul in Toccoa ga.
Truck drove rough, wasn't swept out, transmission didn't shift, gas mileage was awful, the American Eagle doesn't maintain their vehicles at all. When I picked it up, I was there at 8:30. He didn't speak much English and wanted to overcharge us, so long story short we didn't leave the store until 9.
Clerk was very helpful, truck was great
The person could barely understand english, much less even speak english. Took way too long to do paperwork for vehicle because he was working alone and was pitting regular customers ahead of us. And the truck had no engine power. Was not running very well.
The guy didn't know how to process the return if the equipment. I had to figure it out for him
The person at the gas station where we picked up the truck did not speak English well enough to communicate and had no idea what they were doing (new on the job). It took about an hour to get out of the door and his body odor was beyond offensive. Not at all what I need to be dealing with as my father had just died and we were renting a truck to move his belongings.
Drop this location!!. It took 30 minutes to return the truck because the agent had no idea what to do and had to call 'His Boss" When I told him I had put gas in the truck and gave him the mileage he told me to take a picture of the dash because he couldn't leave his station and didn't take my word for it. He then told be to step aside while he handled customers buying cookies and other items.. final experience left a bad taste.
Gas mileage was awful. Service was great
The worker at this gas station did not speak fluent English and did not understand how to remedy a problem when one arose with the drop off. I had to speak on the phone for him to solve the problem. Customers downloading an app and doing it themselves should not be the fix-all answer- the workers at the drop off location should be able to handle the drop off process.
