Experience was terrible. I had a reservation made to avoid waiting in line. I waited over an hour and a half with only one customer in front of me. The useless Manager Matt kept saying how understaffed he was, yet remained with that single customer who was trying to make up their mind if they would rent from them or not. Meanwhile, my transaction would just take 5 minutes while the other customer decided. Even the other employee who finally was able to break from what he was doing commented on how ridiculous the amount of time he was taking. He was terrible. I was late for my appointment, no apologies from the GM either. On top of that, I requested a motorcycle trailer and was given the incorrect trailer. (didn't have time to switch due to already being late.) When I was finished with my trailer and arrived at the store in cottonwood to drop it off, they said they didn't have me on the list. (while the store in Tempe said I was) Thankfully the store owner in cottonwood was kind and took my trailer anyways. This is not how a business should be run. I will continue my complaints until I receive some type of apology. This is my second email, still have not received any response.

Matthew was exceptional!! We were moving in from out of state and encountered some issues with the closing date. Matthew (site manager) and Taylor(CS rep) were extremely helpful and accommodating through all of our struggles and made a bright spot in an otherwise grim week. I will forever be a U-haul customer thanks to these two, AMAZING SERVICE!!!

They told me when i got the truck it would cost 99$ for a deposit and they would charge per day about 40$ a day extra. They withdrew 99$ (3) times out of my account during the rental time. I called and they told me it's a "glitch" in the system and they were sorry. I was sort on money all week and couldn't even pay a few bills and am now late on them cause they withdrew way more than expected. I am not happy with this experience.

Drugs were left in uhaul by employees. Who showed up to my family's home after hours to threaten them to find out my location so they could retrieve their drugs... Insanity!!!! And I'm expected to pay extra money as well! Absolutely ridiculous!!!

Train your employees to have better customer service skills. The guy we had had zero self-awareness or empathy. I don't know if he thought I was a college student (I'm almost 30) but he was rude and dismissive to the both of us, and wasted a lot of time we needed to move. Not going back.

So I rented online from one location but when I got there they said I had to pick up the truck at a different location. Then checking out the truck took an hour that was included in the 4hours I had the truck for. In addition renting online someone told me I could prepay everything which I could not. Which would have been fine if I'd known the week ahead when I called. As is my father who was paying had to leave work early the night before to get me the money to put on my card. Which has caused stress at his job.

U-Haul as a company are bunch of weasels trying to sneak in ways to grab its customers' money any way they can, starting with their bogus mandatory "environmental fee" that they tack on the very last page of the reservation. They also put the optional insurance on the reservation, even when the customer specifically declines it in the online reservation. This was no accident or anomaly, since it happened twice. It so plainly obvious what they trying to do, which is to sneak a few dollars from their customers in the hopes that they just let it go. U-Haul are a bunch of scoundrels.

Definitely need to maintain your vehicle because the one I got seemed really out of line. I only drove it in town and it was heating up. Customer service was good at this location. Our second time renting there.

The initial check in was awful. I did the express check in the day before, and he still tried to take me through everything again. I guess they considered it busy with their 5 people in line. The clerk was visably and audibly flustered. He had to go get his slug of a coworker to come in to help.. Zero since of urgency. Poor customer service.No one in line was upset. We realize it's a small location. Check out went very smoothly when I returned the vehicle. He was very personable and efficient.

Wasted my time due to their system couldn’t read my credit card as a secondary payment is not really a big deal, but when the mile out and gas level on the contract are different than what is actually on the vehicle, and I would’ve got charged for over 300 miles when I only drove 45 miles if I didn’t take a picture of the vehicle’s dashboard before driving off their parking lot, I got to write this complaint. First, gas level on contract stated 1/2 but only 3/8 on vehicle. Second, mile out was 42154.5 on contract but it was 42431.4 on the vehicle. Mathew was the one who set up the contract. He seem like a nice guy and he did apologized but that wasn’t enough to make me a happy customer due to this terrible experience.

I return the trailer on Monday I did not receive a confirmation email of returning it from this location. Two days later I received a phone call asking when I was going to return the trailer. I had to then Collin and let them know where and when I return the trailer hopefully the correction has been made by now. I recommend this location giving more prominent receipt of return once the customer has returned the item.

Went to drop off went to the location listed on the contract to find out it was no longer a uhaul location I called the phone number on the contract they sent me to a second location that location had no Room and was unable to service me so I found a 3rd location and dropped off the trailer there What a pain in the ass!!!
