Overcharged me for my rental
My experience was NOT to up to standards this time. I show up 20 minutes early to get my trailer as I always do. The worker was not there and I had to wait for him to show up and when he did, he had given my assigned trailer to another person. Now he did get me a trailer for the weekend but the trailer I was given was very dirty and poorly maintained along with this, the trailer had no license plate and a running light out, which I found out at home but on my way home from Uhaul I noticed the trailer would move on my hitch, so when I got home my trailer hitch was not tight at all and I had to tighten it. My safety chains were too low so I had to re adjust after loading my car so I wouldn't scrape them all over the place. On top of all of that I rented the trailer Friday for (2 days) so return date is Sunday the one day of the week this uhaul location is closed the worker did not inform me of this and when I asked if I could return it online he didn't know, and said he would put it in the computer come Monday. I am not a happy customer this time. I would not normally write up on this because I have always had good service with you guys but not this time.
26 foot truck had over 140000 miles on it. The steering wheel had grease on it. The steering would lock up when slowing to make a turn. I was driving at night and had to use high beam to see the road. The truck needs to be replaced. It's not safe to drive.
A little off the beaten path. But the staff was super nice and helpful and they had what we needed, close to when we needed it. Area is a bit “shadyâ€. No problem during daylight hours.
The registration process via phone was horrible. The male answering the phone was clearly not into customer service. I called initially to try to find out the closest dealer that had the auto transport . he said I had to register and that was the only way. We completed that and he said someone would call before 6 to complete the registration. Someone did and then I found out that someone had decided the pick up time(3PM)., I was never asked when I would need it. The young girl said I had chosen the time.I reiterated that I had not chosen the time. She then said well that was the only time the auto transport was available. She raised her voice like she was irritated . i asked for her supervisor and she said he was not there. I eventually got the name of Travis. She then said she could get it at i time I wanted. We settled on 10:30 AM. Oscar Quijandria arrived there at 10 Am and finally checked out he said close to 11 Am. I was later sent a receipt and it indicated that he picked it up at 10:30 and returned it at 5:15 PM and was charged double. . He did not pick it up at 10:30 . Fortunately the receipt he got at the location was correct and was charged 75.00 or there about instead of th 140 . indicated on the receipt that was emailed to me .Over all bad experience.
I was “guaranteed†a 4pm 26 footer (after they told me my 9am 20 foot reservation was not going to work) Never received a phone call until I called them at 2pm! Told me the 20 footer was not available anymore. What?? Had to settle for 2 ten footers after numerous phone calls and chatting with multiple representatives. Will never be using uhaul again or recommending to others.
After hours drop off. Limited parking, but manageable.
