This location only had one employee working on a Saturday morning, There was a long line because they had to do everything. This delayed the pickup. The truck I was given also was very wet inside, the roof had a leak.

While it appeared I came to rent at a busy time, the employee, Cass, was wonderful and extremely helpful. Even without a reservation I was in and out in just a few minutes. I was extremely glad to come to this location and the overall ease of renting made moving, which is normally stressful event, that much simpler.

This location has very little covered area. To move the trailer to a parking space, not only do your employees get wet, so do your customers. The employees I delt with we're very professional and pleasant to deal with. I have no reservations about returning to this location sans rain

I had reserved an appliance dolly, and the service representative told me it was in the truck. Now, maybe it's partly my fault for not confirming that, but I reached my destination and found that I didn't have it. When I called about it, the representative told me that he could refund the cost of the dolly, but if I came back to pick it up, he could not refund me anything for the additional mileage and gas that would have resulted from his mistake. I understand that mistakes happen, but this representative refused to accept responsibility (beyond words) and amend the situation. Looks like I will be going somewhere else next time I need a rental truck.

When I rented the truck I advised I had a $20 credit from U-Haul - and showed the e-mail substantiating - I was advised to present at time of truck return. The guys were great having the truck ready for me - and even providing a lock, given it's an in-town truck, and there wasn't one on the truck. (I offered this back at time of truck return, but they indicated I could keep it) In the interim, I had the need to extent the rental from 2 days to 4 days. I returned the truck prior to the time due 6:46pm, with about 5 minutes to spare... and they said to leave the keys in the truck, and that I was good to go... the office was dark at that time... so I simply left - forgot to present the $20 credit, but that didn't seem an option given the status of the office. (thought they were to be open until 7 p.m.?) Then, today, Jan 1, 2019 - I looked at my bill ... incorrectly charged for 5 days. And, was advised, that my card had been declined ... 1st> obviously I should only be charged for 4 days. 2nd> I was concerned that I wasn't signing anything at time of return to date/time stamp when it was returned with amount and closure 3rd> my credit card company has advised me that they have not declined any charges? (I called them immediately after getting off the phone from U-haul today 1/1/19) Love the truck, the guys were great, the billing should have been smooth, and I have not idea why you think the card was declined, but note that I wasn't at time of return asked how I would like to pay for the rental... however, it was unconventional as I had to unexpectedly extend it twice, hence I do understand part charging of the card. I wish, to clarify the transactions, that I, as a customer, could have confidence that the bill would be correct without my having to look at it. Also, I can't thank the guys enough for giving me the lock to use during the rental - though I thought, in-town, there was always one on a truck? Consistency in business is key. Knowing exactly where the pickle on the burger of a McDonald's burger, and the taste, gives confidence to a consumer. Equally, knowing the check-in procedure is done right, the first time, and billing will be right ... is, good for the consumer, and good for the consumer's perception of the company. I love U-Haul... your people work very hard... and you're as American as apple pie. There's always room for improvement. Design for rule, and handle the exception... key for good procedures.

When I arrived at 9:30 AM on a Saturday morning to pick up the truck I had rented, there was only one staff member running the entire show. So when someone ahead of me needed a trailer, he had to go out and pull it from the yard and connect it to their car -- leaving the other 6 customers in the store and waiting.... waiting... It took 30 minutes for me to retrieve my pre-reserved rental truck because only one person was on duty.

My pick up was a breeze. There was no one else there, and it was in and out. The employee knew exactly what they were doing and made it seamless. Dropping off, there were a ton of people. A relatively long line. No problem. The employees on duty worked as a team and despite some customers requiring more attention than others, they coordinated to work the desk, take in equipment, and help customers out the door. They helped as soon as they were able to, and prioritized the customer last reasons for being there and needs to make sure that every customer was taken care of appropriately and swiftly- for instance checking for customers like myself who were doing paperless drop offs to make sure you weren’t waiting a moment longer than required. They were all polite and courteous despite the traffic they were dealing with, they didn’t let it phase them or effect their service, but they also didn’t seem detached as though they didn’t care there was a line. To me, this was a model location that could be the template for what a truck rental experience should be. No one likes any wait at all- but when you have that many customers at once there isn’t a way around some wait. The fact that despite the customer traffic the location still functioned as seamlessly and to the same standard of care it did when there was only me on the store says volumes. The staff there is a credit to your organization and I hope they are recognized for their work. Anyone an sit in a room and use reservation software, but this crew doesn’t just do that. They aren’t just punching a clock- they are professionals in the field and I appreciate that. Whatever they have there, please continue to support and foster it because the world needs that. Wether it’s a fast food order, a trip to the doctor, intercontinental shipping- having people who care about their work, know they have a purpose, and live up to a professional standard and take their job seriously because someone is counting on them and what they do can make or break a persons day, sometimes far more; in ways that are complex and we often can’t understand. So thank you. It was a pleasure and based on my experience there I would certainly recommend that location and U-Haul to anyone.

Provide customer parking for short term rental 4-8 hrs as otherwise it’s highly inconvenient to drive around the block trying to find parking. You may want to get the customer sign a disclaimer document on the safe safety. But atleast leave it optional

I drove less than 11 miles (verified by odometer check, of course) but somehow the fuel refill cost was based on 5.3 gallons @ $5.50/gallon. That would mean the truck gets ~2 miles per gallon! This calculation is obviously wrong. The U-Haul employee (Pita?) who helped me was incredibly helpful, and understood the math was wrong in your system, but was unable to adjust anything. At that point I didn't have time to argue, and I didn't feel it was fair to argue with him. But I also have doubts now about renting a U-Haul unless I absolutely need it, and if I do, I'll be sure to insist on getting a vehicle with an already-full gas tank.
