I was charged way more than expected. I was told there was going to be a dolly in the truck and there wasn’t. The truck also accelerates so you use more fuel.

Did not receive physical paperwork stating the cost of re-fueling. Was NEVER informed of $30 fee to re-fuel on top of the cost of gas. Was told the 1 day rental was actually only 6 hours and to return before 3pm and location was already closed for the day at 2 pm. Previous rental location on Broad St. was significantly better experience.

Upon entering Roger's appliance shop, it wreaked of Raid roach spray as well as the van we rented. Shortly after taking possession of the van, we noticed a roach inside the vehicle that scurried away before we could kill it. It took 30 minutes to pick up the van that was reserved online. To top it all off, we had the package deal of a 100 mile radius with $0.29 per additional mile. When we inspected the miles, there was an additional 21 miles on the vehicle than on the contract, which meant the 100 miles we thought we had, really would have been 79 miles and we would have to pay $0.29 for each mile over the 100 mile radius. I immediately called uHaul to inform them of the discrepancy. When we returned the vehicle, the 21 mile discrepancy was not mentioned to the owner/manager, where he tried to charge us for an additional 57 miles. It was corrected on spot. Overall I would not recommend this location because of the nonchalant/no sense of urgency demeanor of the uHaul team.

The location did not feel safe. Obvious security cameras would have made me feel better about leaving my car there/picking up the van. At the end of the day, everything was fine but I was nervous picking up the van by myself. Thanks.

Make sure the truck you ordered two months ahead of time is there when you go to pick it up for your big move!! You don't want to hear excuses why the damn truck is not there, that's not my problem.

The service was excellent, but the tow dolly we were assigned was terribly banged up. It was marginally function after the fender light fell off less than mile from the rental place. It and the other side were held on with duct tape a glue puddy. We towed with the tow vehicle's hazard lights on (for an over 2 hour ride) since the dolly lights were now inoperable.

I have rented with uhaul my entire adult life. I have always returned my trucks swept out and clean per your policy. For some reason I was charged a 25.00 dollar cleaning fee this time. I really would like to know why. I left my card on file to be charged honestly not for someone to charge whatever they felt like. Other then that I wouldn't have had any issues with this place.

When I reserved the truck I was given a price of $95.00 online with $14.00 of insurance. I had opted for a drop off location in Columbia (one way rental). However, when I went to the location of pick up I was told that the $95.00 price was if I brought the truck back (referred to as a discount). I didn't have my online paperwork with me to dispute the charge then. I was told it would be more like $140.00 for one way rental. By bringing it back it cost me more in gas. Something's wrong...
