Truck was not clean. Power steering did not work properly. Air conditioning did not work for the first 3 1/2 hours of the drive in over 90 degree heat. MISERABLE! Tow dolly had a strap that had been previously cut, so it wouldn't go over the tire to secure the car. We had to drive back to the pick-up location to get a usable dolly. This threw us behind schedule by 1 1/2 hours. The person at the location helped load the car but didn't even secure the safety chains. Due to the poor equipment, service and our time wasted at pick-up and drop off I feel U-haul should compensate us by refunding some of our money.

I prepaid everything and checked in on line for this rental. My son arrived 30 min early so he could get the truck right on time. Other customers who came in later than him were waited on first. He recd the truck 1 hour after reservation time.

Suggest U-Haul Corporate help their store managers during business “emergency” situations by providing backup IT systems. Business lost and productivity curtailed due to damaging electrical storms that affected computer systems. Customers unable to purchase moving accessories and only able to reserve equipment through personal mobile phones.

I ask for a trailer with a full width gate was told they had what I need. When I get there we paid went to hook up and discovered the trailer did not have the wide gate ask for a refund no problem. The next day they charged my credit card again so I called back for another refund on a trailer I never used! The guy in charge said he didn’t know how to refund the money again he would have to talk to his district manager this was the reason given the next 4 times I called I’m still waiting on a refund from feb/16/18 it now June 12th. I’m not sure if they are dishonest or just incompetent at this location (CENTRAL ave Summerville Sc)

The attendant was a very nice young man but was not trained in the car tow dolly. I am handicapped and was told I'd have to do it myself and that he didn't know how to attach the dolly. I called my son and he headed over to the location, which was 45 minutes away. The associate ended up watching a Youtube video, which is what I told him I'd have to do myself in order to install it. He then installed it for me, which was nice, but the whole situation caused me to be late to my destination and lose my movers I had hired from U-Haul.
