Received phon call from U-Haul 2 days prior to rental date indicating location was changed. Was advised would receive another call the next day to cofirm, never did. Upon arrival to rental location, outside of trailer full of dirt and gravel. Owner helpful in connecting trailer and receiver. However no wire extender in hand. Owner told me to drive trailer to Canadian tire to purchase. Allowed me to leave with no lights working. Went to preferred U-Haul rental on notre dame street in Sudbury. He gave me extender and hooked trailer up properly as chains were not crossed. When I asked he check up the whole connection, he did with no objection. I was a Single female traveling 9hrs alone. This is the 3rd trailer I’ve rented in the last 6 months. Will not rent again from Lorne street location. I have no faith in their services. I’m very thankful for rent n sell on notre dame

My trailer light connection terminated at the bumper (same as all vehicles). The UHaul trailer light connection terminated about 2 ft from the end of the trailer tongue. I had to go to Canadian Tire and buy an extension so the trailer would have lights. It cost $20. This should have been supplied by UHaul. Terminating the light connection half way along the trailer tongue is not normal practice. This was my only disappointment with the rental experience.

Nothing. Al was so helpful! He helped me unload my car and didn't have room for the truck on the lot. But he got someone from another location to get it so I didn't have to. He was so helpful! Unhooked my car and helped me unload. He even is taking steps to get some credit it for what happened in Bruce Mines. He went above and beyond to make sure I left happy after the awful experience. I had!

Make sure it has gas in the truck cause it was on almost empty when I got it! But it is really awesome service and I will tell everyone to go to the uhaul on Loren street cause they are really great ??

Firstly, my rental was changed 3 times. I received several emails and texts between the time i reserved online and my pickup. The vehicle was not cleaned. The dealer did not so much as go through the vehicle with me. Apparently he did not complete the service contract correctly as I received yet another call during my move asking if i was still picking up my rental, which of course I already had. Then the service caller informed me of the riot act regarding the police pulling me over and I not having legal access to the vehicle. I had already picked up the vehicle, paid my deposit and had already began my move at this point. Furthermore, because of the several changes and mix up in my reservation, from your end, I was promised a 17' vehicle and was only given the 15'. So, to sum this whole event up, no I will never use U-haul again and no I would not recommend U-haul to anyone.

Its minus 30 here, maybe have scrappers for the windshield in cab and pry bars for the back door as they freeze shut easily. Otherwise no problems

It was not open and the number that we were told to call did not work!!!!



We reserved a 6' x 12' trailer, on line, along with one dozen blankets. We were told to pick up our unit at THE AUTO BOSS, 370 Lorne St, Sudbury, Ontario. When we arrived at the pick up location, we were told that they didn't have blankets available, and they never had blankets at that location. They also told us that UHaul always did that, renting units with blankets that they don't carry. We had to go to two different locations to find blankets. That meant to travel across town and not being able to make it on time to meet the movers. All that at a cost of $100(cash) more to the movers for being late and extra mileage and gas to finds the moving blankets. UHaul was very quick to take my money and I would hope that UHaul would be just as quick to reimburse me for my out of pocket money and inconvenience cause by their booking agent.

My Trailer rental resevation was made at a different preferred location for an 8:00 a.m. pickup, with a 1 week notification. I was informed that this advance notification was way to early and we won't know if a trailer will be available for you, call a few days in advance of pick up. I called again and reserved a 5X8 trailer for an 8:00 a.m. pickip on Sept. 13th 2017. This sheduled rental was accepted, yet Uhaul could not confirm the location in Sudbury Ontario to pick up the trailer. I again specifically asked for 8:00 a.m. pick up. I was told to call back one day in advance of rental to confirm that a trailer will be available. I called on Sept. 12 and was told to that they would look now for a trailer and where to pick it up. At this point in my travels on route to Sudbury I was halfway from Windsor Ontario and still not sure if I could pick up a trailer in Sudbury. I recived a call from Uhaul mid afternoon on the 12th stating that I could pick up the trailer at a location other than where I preferred and could not confirm a 8:00 a.m. pickup time. I needed an 8:00 a.m. pickup time in order to catch a Ferry after loading the trailer. I received another call confirming my 8:00 a.m. pick up time and location, so finally at the 11th hour I have the assurance that I required durimg my original booking one week prior. Now 10 minutes after receiving this call I received a text message yet from someone else that my pick up time would be 10:00 a.m. , this received late afternoon prior to next morning pick up. So I was forced to take a 10:00 a.m. pick up time. Totally dissatisfied with Uhaul customer service.

They did not have the trailer I reserved (they had another one of the same type). They also did not have the dolly I reserved and we had to load a washer and dryer by hand which was very heavy. They also had no tools to tighten the ball on our hitch.
