This was my first experience with u haul. My issue is with the fuel. The fuel tank was not totally full. The indicator was just below the full mark. I know on my car, I can drive a long way before the indicator comes off the full mark. I took the van back full of fuel, which is policy, but it should not have cost me what it did to go as far as I did. I believe I spent $20.00 extra dollars on fuel that I didn't use. In future I will walk out to the vehicle and check the fuel tank.

The vehicle was completely covered in snow with no brush provided to take with you. Yes they did offer a brush to clear the snow while at the location when I asked. There was two lights on in the vehicle (check engine - low tire pressure) which from reading previous reviews this was also an issue. I am no expert but this should have been looked at before the vehicle was resented. The lights did go off later in the day so maybe it's just a sensor? Either way it should be fixed.

My beef was that the truck I was renting was not ready to go in my opinion. It had snow and ice all over the cab and windshield. They did not seem to be that busy that they couldn't have done a sweep off of the snow. There was no snow brush or ice scraper in the cab either, this is southwestern Ontario "the snow belt", a brush/scraper is safety equipment. This might seem a little picky, but the devil is in the details as they say. There are other places to rent vehicles from. Thank You.

Cargo area was dirty. There was mud on the floor but we covered our items with blankets. The dash display kept indicating that the right rear tire needed air but this was a sensor problem and also indicated that the van required an oil change soon. I appreciated getting the van on short notice and had ample room for the items that we moved. I think the van was just returned to the location and I assume there had been no time to clean it.

Pretty good experience to me. I rented a small van right from the lot without an advance booking. The vehicle was clean enough, not pristine, but rather practical, ran well, and everything worked just fine. The return ride from Stratford to Woodstock north, with CDW, mileage, HST and gas refill cost me $108 in total. Solid, efficient and fast service. Good job!

Employees told me incorrect information about trailer price to get me to the location and once I was there it was much different. Many locations did not have stock so I had to go out of my way. Employee failed to mention the extra cost for 1 way I consider the entire experience horrific and will be recommending to everyone that no one use uhaul for any transportation needs

Where I originally booked the moving van from, at Carsmart on Mornington St in Stratford, ON, should not be allowed to deal with uhaul. He called me up 4 hours prior to the time I was scheduled to pick up the moving van, telling me to come grab it now because he has more important things to do than deal with uhaul today! Then, when I get to Carsmart, he doesn't even have the moving van I ordered! The moving van he had for me was too small!!! I was lucky able to go to a different uhaul dealer to get the size of van I originally ordered.

The overall experience wasn't great as I booked online. I reserved a 5x8 trailer and got a confirmation online that this was booked. When I called the day before to the Stratford location to ensure all was ready, they had nothing on file of our reservation and had no 5x8 trailer. When I called back to the online 1-800 # I was simply advised which location had that, which was 1 hr + away. Not a good experience, as we were moving our son 4.5 hrs away the next morning! Somehow I received a 1-800 #(227-2282) and spoke with Catherine. She was outstanding! She helped as best she could and we ended up booking a 4x8 which was the only option trailer that would work for our car/hitch. The next day, when we picked up, we soon realized it would t be big enough. Called Catherine back and she gave options of the cargo van or a 6x12 trailer available. First I thought the van was our only option although much more costly than I'd hoped it would be -$400++. Catherine also gave me a VIP # 46B1E952 for a $50 credit because of all the hassles and additional costs. Finally, I was able to borrow a neighbours car and book the 6x12 trailer, and she helped me through those changes. The staff in Stratford were helpful in switching the trailers but didn't know how to process the $50 credit, so my Visa has been charged the rental fee and I don't know how to get this $50 applied to my order. A most confusing and complex situation overall!

Please provide help to the customer by contacting the actual drop-off location info about a mistake made by customer after customer has communicated the problem to you. Offer to deal with head office for the customer so that the experience isn't even more negative.
