When we returned the vehicle we had just filled up the gas. The girl at the store added a fuel charge to our bill. I told her we had just filled it up, but she said it was too low. It was not low. She would not remove the fuel charge. I would not recommend this store because of the customer service. The U-haul truck itself was fine and it did everything we needed.

My actual location was Stopark Storage - 5417 Bethesda Rd, Stouffville, ON. I showed up with my van sitting right in front of the office, but I couldn't use the self pickup feature because "a piece of equipment was not available". I called U-Haul customer service, who said that maybe the previous renters put the keys in the dropbox, but since the store was closed because of Labour Day, nobody was available to retrieve the keys for the next customer. You would think the situation of the store being closed would have a solution at this point, considering it probably occurs quite frequently. U-Haul really dropped the ball and I am not at all happy with my experience. I will try to avoid ever using U-Haul in the future. Terrible experience. Maybe a dropbox with a code lock instead of a key lock would work better, considering every person who rented a van from that location yesterday got screwed over. Just a thought...

We have been buying moving boxes from your Aurora, On location and the rented a truck. With all our transactions there were issues with the software. It was glitchy and kept freezing up. At the Ballantrae location,we waited for 10 minutes on hold and then were hung up on and had to call again and wait on hold AGAIN for someone to process our order. It was not a good experience.

I was book for 26 " truck , but we I called them they said , they have 20" truck , even I was moving from markham to grismby I had to go couple time back and forth so bad expernice entry moving , if known they don't have 26" truck , I would do differently . I was very dispoinned in generally .

We returned the truck on 7/30 at 6 pm and yet we got charged for dropping off on 7/31 at 11:30 pm thus getting an extra day charge.

I ordered a 26 foot truck, 24 hours before pick up I get a phone call from uhaul that confirms my order for a 20 foot truck??? I tell them I ordered a 26 foot truck and the lady on the line says " well we dont have one for you to pick up, so you can only have a 20 foot truck with a tow trailer" She offered no discount or apologie. I was sceduled to pick up my 'now 20 foot truck and trailer' from the Bradford location at 7:30am the next day. I arrive at the location at 7:30am only to have the employee not show up untill 8:30am. I had customer service on the phone aswell trying to get in touch with employee. At 8:30am when the employee finally shows up, he tells me 'did anyone call you? The truck is not coming, I got a phone call from the other client and they arw not returing the truck.' Well thanks for calling me lol!?!? I then get back on the phone with customer service and the send me to Stouffville to pick up a truck there, but no trailer. Meanwhile I have movers waiting at my house! I arrive in Stouffville at 9:30am get my truck, the two rear tires are at 3 maybe 4/32 which would not be safe in rain and then I am on my way. I get the truck to my house start loading and of course all my belongings do not fit! I had to leave so much behind, I had no choice, and I had a four and half hour drive to my new house. The second lady I had on the line at uhaul deducted $100 off my $650.00 bill, that was nice.

I spent nearly 45 minutes while the owner tried to enter my information, in fact I ended up going behind the counter and doing it myself. Their English was very poor. When I phoned to book the truck my information was lost and booking agent had to call me 3 times. This was not a pleasant experience.

This U-Haul location did not barely speak English. He had no idea what he was doing. He called my husband behind the counter to confirm our details. It was the worst experience I have ever had with a retail store. That's what my original pick-up impression was; then to have to wait over one hour at my drop off location because he had screwed it up. Unbelievable.

Authorized dealer at drop off was very knowledgeable and efficient. Very friendly. Would recommend this location. This location contrasted the authorized dealer we used for pick up. This massive contrast in dealers is what makes me reluctant to rent from u-haul again unless I have experience with the dealers available.

I had an incredibly poor uhaul experience and can say with confidence that I will never use uhaul again. Both locations were fine but your corporate scheduling policy is garbage and customer service was also useless. I had planned this truck a month in advance for a move and you failed to confirm until 24 hours in advance. My pick up location was changed altering my pick up time by 2 hours. There are tight schedules with moving/ elevator rentals/ coordination with others. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

This place was difficult to find. It was a convenience store with a tiny uhaul sign, and the worker seemed very uncertain. He forced me to move the vehicle and served other customers behind me in line before processing my return.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE SERVICE - I would never rent from U-haul again base on my experience at the Ballantrae, ON outlet - Took an hour-fifteen to get the truck -It started with the reservation the clerk couldn't change the truck from a one-way (after taking 10 minutes to find the truck size- I should have reserved on-line). She set the service up such that it would have cost $40 more than I needed - The clerk couldn't change the system to the daily + mileage rate - I needed to call customer service (10 minutes on hold) to get it changed. When the change was made all of the originally entered information was lost - needed to start again (All the while the clerk is selling dealing with customers buying lottery tickets, etc.). Couldn't open the truck doors as they were iced shut even though we hadn't had the weather that would cause that in days-the clerk handed me a hammer to do it myself). Dropping off - the cost per litre (if I didn't fill it to where it was) would have been approx. three times the current rate - I got back in the truck and filled it - put in $10 and ended a hairs-breadth from the starting (should have added an extra litre) -The clerk whined that it wasn't on the line. Undoubtedly the most frustrating and infuriating retail experience I have had in many many years. Next time I would drive past three U-haul outlets to find a competitor or rent an ox-cart!

It took an hour for this guy to complete my rental. I had to get behind the table and do the whole thing for him. I also just got my statement and I opted out of the insurance and am now being charged for it. It was awful experience I'll never use a uhaul again and it sucks because I still have to move again and would of liked to but after the experience I had I can't be bothered

Upon entering this convenience store, there was no employee in sight. I called out and had them come out from the back brushing their teeth mouth covered in toothpaste foam. I then waited 5 more minutes before they came out to start the uhaul pick process. Each time a customer came in, they stopped the process and served other customers first. He had mentioned he was expecting me, yet clearly made no effort to be ready. He was unfamiliar with the pickup process, did not know how to use the system, open the truck door, locate the fuel meter, etc. He did not inform me that dropping off at another location would double my rental rate. Overall it took over 45 minutes to pickup the truck. Proper training and monitoring needs to be done on all uhaul dealers.
