I was charged for 2 gallons of gas despite having fueled up to what looked to me like the right amount of fuel just before dropping off the truck a full day and a half early. The decision to charge me $8.50 reflects very poor customer relations practice. I will not be giving Uhaul my business in the future and I will warn my many friends on social media that the Uhaul location in downtown Springfield nickeled and dimed me and recommend they avoid it.

Very easy transaction. Reserved on-line and was good to go when i got there. Only thing was that i never received the receipt that was supposed to be emailed to me. Other than that, it was a good experience.

Explain the rates more thoroughly. The pay by mileage is extremely expensive considering the truck was rented for 4 hours and was fueled up. Cost was almost $100. That’s a bit much.

The personnel were rude and made me move the 26' truck after I'd parked it, merely for their convenience. There were no other customers and he could have easily inspected the truck from the location it was in. When I asked why it couldn't keep the truck where it was for the inspection, he told me there was a specific return lane, but it was not clearly marked and was obscured by other vehicles parked in the way. The man who inspected the truck was rude, went around with a stick banging all the tires, then charged me $2.13 for going an additional 5 miles on my reservation. Ridiculous.

HAD TO GO TO THREE DIFFERENT LOCATIONS TO FINALLY GET THE TRAILER AND IN DIFFERENT CITIES. WITH NO CONPENSATION FOR THIS TIME MILAGE AND PAIN. THE ORIGINAL RENTAL SHOULD HAVE GIVEN ME THE TRAILER THEY HAD TO SAVE ALL THIS TROUBLE AND REPLACED IT WITH THE ONE I PICKED UP. STATED IT WAS LOCAL ONLY. BUT IT HAD A FLORIDA PLATE ON IT.

Nothing as we pulled in and very quickly and agent came right out to check the truck back in and it was a nasty cold and rainy day. He plugged everything in his computer and we were done. Improvement: be open longer woukd be the only thing I have as this is a Uhaul facility as opposed to an affiliate that also rents uhauls. Thanks!

Take pictures before and after...they claimed I used the dolly when I did not. I had my own doll. They charged me for something I did not use. It rained on my moving day so the dolly would of been dirty and wheels wet and they were not, but seal broken so I got charged. He could of broken it himself when he went and checked. Check everything so you dont get charged.

I returned the same night I used the truck. When I tried to return the truck, the gentleman working stated they were closed. I was told they close at 7, but apparently they closed at 6. I had arrived at 6:20. He told me to drop the keys in the dropbox, which I did, but then told me to take pics of the fuel and mileage. Obviously could not do so b/c I had already dropped the keys. What can be improved on in the future is being kind to customers. I was also bothered b/c the gentleman took another customer into the building to assist them. I understand having a long day and being tired, however, customer service is important. I would like to see Uhaul better assist their customers by being inviting, even if you are closed. There is s a nicer way to communicate with customers, rather than pretending they aren't standing right in front of you.

I had a difficult time finding the key box and the online return didn't work on my phone. However, I did drop the key in the box and called, and they assured me it was okay and I was all set. I took a picture of the odometer and gas gauge just in case there were any questions.

The service rep told me my truck had a “full” tank of gas but it didn’t. Before retuning the truck I put gas and I noticed that it was almost to full but definitely more than I picked it up with. So I didn’t worry. Well I guess it was not good enough because I was charged an additional $9 for gas upon returning it becaus tank wasn’t full. I explained to the person that it has more gas than when I recieved it but he didn’t believe me and insisted that all trucks are checked for gas accuracy before being rented. As I’m explaining this to him the customer he’s currently attending tells me that they did the same thing to her once and charged her $20 for missing gas. She like me, said the tank was not at full but they said it was. Two customers out of two can’t be a simple coincidence. It gave me this feeling that this Uhaul location has a habit of over charging customers for missing gas. I told the customer who said this to me to take a picture of her gas when she turned it on as proof. Something I didn’t do so they accused me of lying to them. Horrible experience and if this is the norm for them then I’m sure that’s how they make an extra buck at the customers expense. Catch me once but not ever again!!!
