The Man onsite is not good with customer service. He accused me of being suspicious and ask me why I came to this location instead of one in my community. I took the remarks very offensive. Me being a man of color must be a problem with Uhaul in South Gate!!!! I will be contacting people at higher ranks ASAP... (Manuel Madina) was the Man on-site....

Vehicle radio did not work and contract had errors on the gas and miles that would have added to my invoice. On final bill there was once again incorrect miles added to final bill. I did address the error and it was corrected. If I was not anal observant, we would have over paid.

The customer service was terrible. The person helping me told he didnt wanted to keep wasting time with me ,when I asked to walk around the truck before I signed the contract.

My reservation was at 9am. When I arrived the truck was not accessibly parked and the inside back of the truck (the box) was filled with water! The cars in front of the truck did not allow me to take drive it out. I had to ask the worker there to please move a car. He was on his cell phone the entire time and was extremely insistent that even though I used to app to pick up the truck, I still had to go inside his office and do the paperwork inside too. His name was “MANUEL Medina” according to him. I told him, I should be able to complete my pick up on the app and asked if he could now dry the water in the back inside of the truck. He drove the truck abruptly fast and clear across the parking lot in hopes that the momentum would move out some of the water. He drove about 50 yards away and then parked it adjacent to the sidewalk on a slight incline in hopes to let gravity draw out more water. He then left to his office to help another customer. By the time I finished the odometer and Gas uploads, took pictures of the back wet area and walked way back over to the office where he was and told him I was ready and if he could please dry it up, he said he why if I already took pictures of the back being wet. He was upset. I said I was taking pictures that were requested to be uploaded and that I needed to leave. He asked me to be patient and he would help me after he finished with the customer. I urged him to please finish with me since I was there first. He said I got there late anyway, my reservation was at 9am and I arrived at approximately 940am. And I responded back to him that for that reason exactly, the truck should have been well enough ready at 9am it was now almost 1030 and it was still ready. He yelled at me and said “be patient I’ll help you when I finish with this customer “. I was so upset at the incompetence of this man and would never return to this site. I would never recommend this location and quite possibly may choose another company for my next moving truck rental. The whole purpose and convenience of TruckShare was to retrieve the vehicle via the app and not even have to deal with anyone. This was ridiculous.

Let’s start by saying I reserved a 10’ trucking in advance and even upon arrival I was prompted to check in for a process that took absolutely too long. The young lady that checked me in was very nice and had a very pleasant appearance however unfortunately she did not seem very knowledgeable about the job that she was doing. So I was finally giving a truck which did not have a ramp or even ramp connection so I asked If they offer a ramp that can by later attached when needed they looked around the entire lot and only came up with the solution that they would best accommodate me. I was given a larger truck that was equipped with the ramp I was given a 2 hours window return time for the truck and it was not yet cleaned or refueled prior to me receiving it. I managed to get it back as soon as possible and that’s when things truly took an ugly turn. I was met by a genetleman who's name I think was Jose. He met me outside and asked for the keys I handed them over he went out to immediately inspect the truck without saying anything further. He yelled very rudly to my little brother you guys need to sweep the inside but again I state it was not cleaned before I received it in fact it was parked as if someone had just returned it. My brother did so with no problem. The genetle returns to the inside of the office and tells me the fees were $80.00 but I had already been quoted $45.00 and I didn’t not exceed the distance I was quoted for at all nOr did I ask for the larger truck which obviously cost a bit more. In fact I over calculated the distance so it would have been less money. He says “no you used this much gas and this is the prices sorry can’t do nothing about it!” I said how did the price jump so much? He says if you don’t like the price call my boss at the corporate office. Assuming he didn’t think I would I asked for the contact information I was givin the number soo fast as if he didn’t want me to actually catch it. I called and asked to speak to a genetleman by the name of Jose as well. He was absolutely professional and maintained his business like tone the entire call he allowed me talk until I was done and immediately apologized for my exprience he educated me on their policy and explained to me that he would take care of the details of charges. He instead only charged me for the original 10’ truck I had entinally reserved he took off the fees for the mileage entirely and got me my receipts sent to my email. I immediately and got my money back the gentlemen from the office last words were “congratulations it looks like you got out of paying for everything today and slid the money across the table. My overall experience was not the greatest I’m am ultimately pleased with Jose from corporate office he was very professional however I most likely would not use this service at this location in the future.

I informed the clerk that there was a one-mile discrepancy between the odometer and the paperwork that I was given. This was before I left the lot. He told me to take a picture, which I did. However, I ended up being charged for that extra mile. I realize it is only one dollar, but this is bad customer service and theft.

I arrived to pick up the trailer I had rented from U-Haul. A gentleman by the name of the manny was there to help me. He was extremely rude, didn't speak English, it made me feel like I was bothering him. The U-Haul equipment was excellent but I won't be renting from this location again.

The person in charge of this locations is in desperate need of customer service training and peoples skills. Customer service is lacking on how to treat customers, I felt as I was a criminal by the way he keep interrogating me on why I needed the vehicle. This person needs to realized that is by customer are funding his job and not the other way around it.
