Not a location problem. Uhaul needs to either decommission or upgrade all equipment as it ages. I rented a very old car hauler. Had a tire disintegrate 60 miles into my trip. A safety problem and put me 2 hours behind schedule. I saw the age of the tires / equipment when I rented it. I think your job is to maintain your equipment 1st class... Waiting til it breaks or fails on the road is unsafe and bad business.

The young lady who processing the rental transaction was professional and courteous. The young man who connected the trailer checked lights, but did not check trailer interior where I found dirt and debris when I started loading the trailer, he did not check tires which I found two properly inflated, one grossly under inflated and one flat with a nail in it. When I went inside the office and told the young man the tire was flat with a nail, he acted like I was bothering him. I said he needed to change the tire, which he did, but with obvious contempt.

I was entirely satisfied with my experience renting a U-Haul 15 ft. truck from Sonoita Auto. Amber was awesome, taking care of my needs despite computer glitches and bad weather. Will use them again if the need arises.

Nothing wrong about the service. The truck wants to wander down the road when driving it. With only 46000 miles on the truck this should not be. May need a wheel alignment done or something is loose.

The only complaint I have about this place is that U-Haul rentals are not their primary business. I didn't think the staff was very friendly or had a good customer service orientation. I felt as though completing the check-in for the vehicle was an imposition and inconvenience for them and their knowledge of the U-Haul computer system was minimal. The location was not very clean or inviting either and "U-haul" signage was not very visible.

I will not use the internet site for my reservation again. Not a good experience. Too much uncertainty. I will definitely use Sonoita Auto if I need to rent in the future. reserved on line and was called to pickup the truck and moving equipment 30 miles away. Got there and the truck was available but had to go to the original location to get the moving supplies, dolly and pads.

We paid for 5 days and over 1000 miles. We were told that when we turned the truck in, we could get a refund for the days and miles we did not use. We pushed ourselves and turned the truck in in 3 days, using under 1000 miles. We were expecting a refund of a little over $100. We were told that uhaul does not give refunds. At this point we had pushed ourselves, loading and unloading, driving long days. I would not do business with Uhaul again, nor would I recommend it to anyone. Good customer service is crucial, and this was certainly lousy customer service. I could have rented a better truck from their competitor, and taken a more relaxed trip had I been properly informed. Do not rent a uhaul.

Better customer service would be nice; don't train employees on my time. It doesn't take three employees to jump start a car while I'm waiting to return my UHaul. Don't 'offer' to unhitch my trailer when I return it...DO IT. Convenient location to my home but that's the only reason to return in the future.

We were not very happy with the fact that the truck was not available at the original location or time that the truck was reserved for. This complicated the move. It also cost more than original estimate.

It would be nice if we could get (and return) the vehicles with a full tank. It's annoying to have to fill up first thing. Also, trying to return the vehicle with not to much more than the required minimum... I find these rentals very expensive, perhaps overly so.

Although it is the closest location, I would probably look for another one next time. I talked to them several times on the phone and they "could not access my reservation" on the U-Haul system. Then I changed to a smaller truck when I realized the 17 ft would not make the turn in my driveway. I called 2x to discuss this, reminded the person who called to confirm my reservation, and was told they would bring a 14 ft truck from another location. Yet, when I called the day before to confirm that they had, they said no. Luckily, my movers were skilled puzzlemen and figured out how to fit nearly everything in the 10 ft truck. A few things were left behind but they were not essential and I can take them in my car on subsequent trips. What made me upset was the lack of communication and follow up. No one called me to say "we can't get the 14 ft truck for you." Just some basic customer service was needed and it would have been a lot smoother.

The owner of Sonoita Auto Service has done everything in his power to correct an error and resolve a dispute I'm having with U-Haul. I have no problem with this U-Haul contractor, who is a fair and ethical man. I do however have extreme issues with U-Haul as a company since they are overcharging me and continue to stack on fees for days that the truck was not in use by me and had been returned.
