Tried to do the self check in - didn't work and took me over an hour to get it sorted out. I ended up having to drive an extra half hour (which also meant paying more milage) and getting a different truck than I wanted (a pickup instead of cargo van) in addition to the overall frustration of getting transferred 7+ times on the phone and taking an hour. One I got the truck, the equipment was good.

Every thing was great except, my equipment was scheduled to be returned at 6 pm. No one told me when I picked it up that they closed at 5. After hours return was no problem, but a surprise .

Getting to the rear of the site to drop off the truck was a little difficult due to how the streets are laid out. A sign posted where to turn would be helpful.

$27 credit was not applied on my final bill. I picked up the truck with 1/8 gas tank and I'd get that credit if I returned it with 1/4 gas tank. I don't see it on my final bill.

This location charged me for Safe Move protection in person without telling me even though online I chose to waive it. She just said "sign here ansld I'll take you to the truck." I'm never coming back here again.

Wish it was a Uhaul Brick & MOrtar place just because I wanted to rent furnie pads but they didnt have any. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Both on pickup and delivery. Edward (I think that was his name) was great! THey made it very a very efficient & painless experience!!

I wasted my gas and mileage driving back and forth trying to find the unidentifiable location. The location was hard to locate due to improper signage I was asked to drive through a maze of streets park in the back and then walk through a maze of storage units to find the front office. It's like looking for a mystery location

During my move, Robert called me from the Signal Hill office asking me when I was returning the van. Apparently when I reserved the van I said I would only need it for 4 hours. Well, things didn't happen that way. there were unforeseen circumstances that prevented us from finishing in 4 hours. Robert basically threatened me and told me to bring back the van or he would charge me a $50.00 reservation fee. I have never been talked to in such an unprofessional manner He was RUDE and I will NEVER rent from UHaul again!! Train your employees and get more help at the Signal Hill location... 1 person working on a Saturday and on the 1st of the month??? Ridiculous. This gal was actually very nice and did what she could to get everyone in their rental.

Put up a sign that says U-Haul. Not storage. If I hadn't had a cell phone would not have found it. Should at least tell customers about lack of sign and that they should look for the "name" of the hotel across the street. WHOEVER IS IN CHARGE OF THIS SHOULD BE WRITTEN UP OR REPLACED. Terrible lack of COMMUNICATION FOR A LARGE COMPANY.

Rented a unit in the basement, half of the lights were broken and would flicker while your down there. Equipment that they are supposed to provide, such as, pushcarts were not always available.
