i put exactly 8 miles on the truck!! they billed me 4.4 gallons of gas, $17.60 !!! my brother and i did not let the truck idle. we turned off truck. loaded it... turned off truck unloaded. only 8 miles. that means that truck got under 2 miles per gallon. we called up to the store to complain, no one ever called back. i also called i-800- GO-UHAUL and no one ever called me back. i was prepared to pay 5 or 6 dollars for gas. but $!&...my son is a US Marine, we were helping him move his belongings while he is overseas, i just feel like there was some price gouging!!!! cab of truck was filthy on the inside too!!!!

First thing I want to say is the lady I dealt with at H&H was great. However, my overall experience with Uhaul as a company has been terrible. Every time I reserve a trailer, which has been several times, for a specific location I get a phone call saying "I'm sorry you have to drive an extra 30 miles to get your trailer" It doesn't matter if I reserve it 2 months, 2 weeks, or 2 days before I need it, it is never at the location I reserved it at. This last time the phone call came within minutes of me reserving it. So I make the traditional phone call to corporate and the lady on the phone, again not H&H, seemed like I was annoying her when I called to try to work something out. I spent most of my lunch break on the phone trying to get this figured out. What is the point of having a reservation process if it is irrelevant, which it is indeed irrelevant. This system you have in place is, frankly, unacceptable to me. I will not be renting anything from Uhaul again. You have cost me time and money for the last time. Enterprise will rent me a van with unlimited mileage for $50 a day. That is where I will go from now on. I realize that most of your customers are one and done so for that reason you clearly don't care about customer service or the inconvenience you put people through. I can't depend on Uhaul at all. Why would I keep doing business with a company that has no concept of reservation.

I mentioned upon return that the trailer has a problem with the brakes (basically had none). The brake fluid reservoir was nearly empty. So must be a leak somewhere.

Other than being a "tight squeeze" (not a lot of parking space) to return the equipment, the place is very easy to find & use. The people there are VERY helpful too.

I did not like the online assessment at all. It was hard to do it with the lighting on a phone and I felt rushed to do it quickly so the guy could hook up the trailer and go. I needed to take a few pictures and write comments, but the website was glitchy and kept adding the photos to the wrong area. I couldn't detail all of the problems with the trailer. Paper and pen are much better in this situation or in addition to the online stuff.

The cab of the truck kinda smelled like wet dog, so I had to stop and get an air freshener. I totally understand that several people are in and out of the trucks all the time and I am also VERY sensitive to smells. It is not something that would keep me from renting one of the trucks again, but that was the only thing I could think of could use any improvement. Customer service was great!??

i rented in North Vernon but received only an E mail titled "auto-confirm" that the location had been changed. it messed up my plans and added 45 miles to my rental. U Haul did refund the mileage difference. So... it looks like you must be sure they have your vehicle at your location. They won't call you despite having 2 contact numbers.

Only haul open at 9 on a sat morning in Seymour. A very friendly lady took complete care of checking and parking the haul. She did a tremendous job!

Our mileage was supposed to be adjusted when we got there and refunded and it wasn't. The employees don't understand your software and we got screwed out of around $30 plus. Next time I will use Budget. Never have had an issue with them.

We were given the wrong instructions of where we would find the keys for self pick up. Spent about 30 mins trying to find out where the keys were at and spoke to 2 customer service representatives who had no idea where the keys would be at either. We followed the instructions from a mobile device, however, the last step were the wrong instructions. I wish we would have known that the key would be under the car seat instead of wasting 30 mins of our moving time trying to find the keys. Overall, instructions need to be more clear and the CSR should also know locations of where the keys should be placed.

No issues with the pick up and drop off locations but not happy with the equipment. It was very old and drove awful. The floor got so hot it was hard to drive long distance. The truck shook exteremely bad and wouldn't go straight. Penske trucks are in much better shape.

It was my mistake not to double check the actual gas level vs the print out level. I found the tank at exactly half and returned the truck with the same quantity. I was charge almost $9.00 for two gallons of gas shortly after droping off the truck. The receipt said I returned the truck with it less gas than I received it with. I called customer service and the person I spoke with immediately had an attitude when I explained my situation. She said there is nothing she could do for me because I didn't get a print out of the gas receipt. I was upset and told her you are blowing me off and you don't care about the situation. I explained the the $9.00 will not make me richer or poorer but doing the right thing is right. She then hung up the phone while I was still speaking to her. The next time I would be more careful to check the gas gauge before leaving the dealer. I was upset because I even brought the truck a couple hours before the 4 hour deadline and was still charge an outrageous amont for 2 gallons of gas. Not sure if anyone reads these comments but to me making this situation right is worth not loosing a valued customer. Thank you
