Person never came out to inspect trailer (although it was ok). You could tell he didn’t want to be at work. Gave me a receipt but did not sign it. Went back inside and assisted he sign it. Finally did. He wouldn’t work for me long!

The trailer was in an inaccessible area for my truck, so I had to pull it out to hook it up. The person in the gas station said "I hope you know how to hook this thing up because I don't" he walked outside pointed to the trailer and turned around and walked back into the gas station.

Truck was dirty with trash from the previous user. The overall price did not match the quote online. Mileage price was more than quoted, and the final cost was $70 more. The store said Uhaul had to provide any discounts, and the Uhaul customer service said the store had to provide any discounts. In the end, no discounts.

Customer Service during pick-up needs a lot of work. They need to take a refresher class. The contract signing seems pretty shady. We ended up renting a 10' truck because the trailers that we are requesting is "not available and all trailers are already reserved that morning". During the process, he kept asking what time are we planning on returning the vehicle that same day. I asked why and he said "so that someone else can use or reserve it again". It is a 24-hour rental and so why would someone "use or reserve" the truck we rented if it's not available for the next 24 hours? Hmmm. So we told him that we will return it the next day. Next issue I found was the gas. The contract indicated 3/4 full and he made sure that we understood to return it with the same amount. We did a quick walk through to make sure there were no damage on the truck , but because we are in a hurry, we failed to check the gas before driving off the lot. While driving (about 4 miles away from the facility) we noticed that the gas tank is already at less than half tank. So we returned to the facility (the guy seemed very irritated and with an attitude). When we showed him what was wrong, his whole attitude changed. During the loading process and when we opened the truck, we noticed a strong odor and the truck floor was dirty with leaves and dirt. Again, our fault for not checking at the facility because we assumed that the vehicle would be kept in good clean condition ready to rent. But since we are pressed for time, we continued to use the vehicle for moving. When we were done, we returned the truck that same evening (clean and free of dirt). Remember the trailers the were not available because it was "reserved" that morning, it was still there at 7PM. The return process was an improvement from the pick-up. Different person with different attitude and better customer service. Hence the reason for a 2 star rather than 1. Lessons learned: Trust but verify before driving off the lot. It'll save you time and money. With our experience during the pick-up, this is not a friendly location. I guess you can roll the dice or take the risk that you'll get a person with a good customer service skills at the service desk.

Was not totally clean. When it rained on the way down to North Carolina rain leaked into the cab. It rained a lot on the way and while we here. We turned the truck in a day early because despite constantly wiping it up, the water built up filling up the cup holders and overflowing them. It was a mess. We did notify the office where we turned in the vehicle and they had to keep under a canopy to alleviate the continued leaking.

I was originally scheduled to pick up the uhaul truck in Edgewater but was changed to Severna Park the day before. After we completed the move we were charged an extra $22 for going over mileage, apparently we were not reimbursed for the extra miles we drove to pick up at the new location. I have emailed the company twice with no response, was transferred from the gas station I rented from, and could not get a hold of the customer service desk. Very poor service I would not recommend to anyone.

When I went to pick up the truck I was one of a few customers who didn't realize we had checked the "self pickup" or "24/7" option (or whatever it's called) for the truck--meaning we were supposed to check it out with our smartphone, multiple forms of IDs, take pictures, etc. rather than just going through the person at the desk. This was problematic for 2 reasons: 1-I did not realize I had even selected that option (and neither did the other guy in line). It should be made more clear exactly what you're choosing. I thought I was simply moving forward with the normal rental process. 2-you should make the requirements for the "24/7 self checkout" option more clear. Even if I meant to select the "24/7 pickup" option, I wouldn't have known I'd need multiple forms of ID, have to take bunch of pictures of the truck, etc before renting it. I get the idea to save paper but it seems a bit inconvenient, it's something I would only choose if I had no other option but to pick up the truck late at night or something like that. In short: It's too easy to inadvertently select the "24/7 pickup" option, and on top of that the option itself isn't very well explained.

I had to rent this car hauler for three days at a cost of $316 even though I only needed it for 24 hours. Please consider giving me a credit for the unused days and changing your policy to only charge for the days used.

lacking in supplies, did not have requested amount of pads, and would have liked another dolly but they didn't have it, otherwise great customer svc and I don't think the lack of supplies was their falt. Uhaul should be more attentive to their locations

This is the second time I have been routed to this location. Never again!!! If this is the only location you have I will try another company. After waiting 20 minutes for some guy who was asked 5 times to come out to assist I was told they have the van and the two dollys i need. I get home and they aren’t in the truck. So now I have to go 5 miles back to the place only to be sold sorry I don’t have any dollys. Why would you charge me for two of them. I had to wait 15 minutes to get my refund. This is 6:00 on a Friday so every other location nearby is closed. Luckily I found a spot that opened at 7:30 in the morning and they rented me two. Then after it’s all over they charge me .99 cents a mile when the contract clearly says .89. This place is the worst. And the truck had dead mosquitos smashed on the inside windshield. Hair on the seats it clearly had not been vacuumed or cleaned in a while. But they tell me to be sure to clean out any dust in the back. Last time I’m saying this but they are the worst!!!!!

As a drop off location, it was fine. But as a pickup location, I would probably recommend that people use a main uhaul location in order to get the truck they need.
