I felt rushed out the door, and for such an important transaction very few details were exchanged at the front desk. The experienced guy seemed more concerned with telling the trainee where to click on the screen than explaining my trailer transfer, the importance and consequences of not getting Safe Move, and how to check the vehicle's initial condition. Luckily no incidents or damage occurred on my move, but there were a lot of potential damages I didn't km own I would be liable for if something happened, and it led to a pretty nerve wracking trip. Then when I picked up the exchange program trailer in Auburn, the warehouse employee had me hook up the loaded trailer solo and unsupervised because apparently he wasn't certified to hook up a trailer. I didn't even know if the brake lights were working or not before I left.

Nothing, I pulled in a couple minutes after closing time and the employee didn’t even hesitate. She came right out and helped me unhook the trailer and check it in.

The clerk took keys from myself and 2 others who had been waiting for over 10 mins to turn them in. He told us he would send us an email receipt once he checked the trucks in. I did not receive a receipt then, or via email. I had until the end of the store hours. I dropped it off on time! I then was charged a late drop off fee. I was not late!

"A representative will call you within an hour," apparently means a representative will NEVER call me and three hours later I'll get a text telling me my pickup is rescheduled for... two minutes from now. Great. Run down there, then up waiting in line for 50 minutes before I can finally get the van, leaving me with one hour to actually do my move and get it back to the facility. The facility was chaos. Vans parked helter-skelter so that nobody can get in and out, nobody knows which vehicle is whose. The check in process took ten minutes PER PERSON, which really sucks when you have five or more people in line and the only person available to help is trying to juggle other responsibilities at the same time. Not surprisingly most of the staff seemed stressed out and unhappy, one of them was snapping at customers because they didn't know where to pull in--there were no directions for where to go once you got into the station so customers went everywhere and I don't blame him for being sick of having to constantly wrangle them. I do want to commend the few representatives who helped me and were clearly trying their very best to get things done in such a messy, inefficient situation, but this location needs much better management and it needs to get its process sorted out. As it is, renting from UHaul was the kind of stress I absolutely do NOT need on my moving day.

Horrible customer service, poorly run organization, totally chaotic scene and rude treatment. The truck I rented was not available. I waited close to an hour to get an alternative and was treated very rudely like I was the one inconveniencing uhaul eventhough it was quite the opposite. And while I ordered a 4 hour rental I was told tersely I could only have it 3 hours due to receiving my truck an hour late due to no fault of my own. so much opportunity for improvement.... from customer service skills (apologizing when you don't fulfill an order, not making you wait 45 min plus, staffing appropriately), to parking signage (customers got blocked in and yelled at for parking in spots that were uhaul spots but not marked as such) and having a better system/communication for checking out. (to name a few suggestions, there are more).

The process was so inefficient. Trucks were blocking other trucks from leaving and have to continuously be moved to allow customers to leave. The person at the counter had to leave each time they checked a customer out to go move trucks and it was incredibly frustrating. I waited in line for over 30 minutes. A weekend at the end of the month is the busiest time for moving and there should be plenty of staff. Trucks should be better organized on the lot for the customer to get in and go. The computer system was down - which is understandable, but there is no excuse for the lot being so disorganized and the lack of employees on hand in the morning on a weekend at the end of the month. They staff was doing the best they could with what they had. UHaul should have a better system and I was incredibly disappointed. I won’t be renting from UHaul again.

Check in process was messy - I checked in with mobile app, but it turned out that the truck that I just checked out got assigned to someone else, so I had to wait in line for 45 minutes to get this sorted out. Ended up getting a different vehicle, but with incorrect mileage/gas status noted on the contract.
