Customer service was severely lacking.
Daniel FImprove your computer system. It took much longer than it needed because the system wouldn't print a document. This held me and the people behind me up in line. It took 10 mins of waiting all for the system to print the document I needed to sign.
Carter WI have no issue with U-Haul, except that I would not rent from this particular location, ever again. The operator made it very clear that it was " a one man show "... He was doing it all on his own and everyone had to wait their turn and be patient. I totally understand that one person can't be everywhere at one time. With that being said, if an operator is so overwhelmed with business, perhaps they should get a secondary associate to help with the daily business functions. Perhaps someone with a more temperate personality, more friendly and willing to help without being snarky and speaking down to the customer with an obviously fake smile and disingenuous friendly attitude. Getting questions answered was difficult at best. Apparently, when you call that location more than twice, you are nothing more than a pest.. and you will be reminded that you have already been given the $2 tour, so to speak, should you wish to clarify anything prior to signing a rental agreement. Upon arriving, My friend and I waited inside the unmanned station for at least 5 minutes, there was no call bell in sight. Finally, wanting to get on the road, I called the phone number I had for the establishment. The call was answered and I was told at that point that I needed to be patient because he had other things going on at that moment.. when he became available to go over the rental paperwork and release the vehicle, I asked if we could walk around the truck with him to note any possible damages, so I wouldn't be blamed for anything upon the return. I was told that he did not do that. He has already looked at the vehicle and documented any damages. He said I could take pictures,etc. , for my personal records, should I feel it necessary. When the vehicle was returned, again, I had to phone The operator in order to Turn the vehicle over, finish up my paperwork and go. That was another 15 minutes wait, just to be told that, once again, it was a one-man show and I needed to be patient...AND, I WOULD NEED TO GIVE HIM ANOTHER 15 MINUTES BEFORE I COULD CHECK OUT BECAUSE HE HAD SOMEONE IN FRONT OF ME. THAT WAS WHEN I OPTED TO GIVE MY EMAIL ADDRESS AND TOLD HIM TO MAIL ME A RECEIPT. If people don't mind unfriendly, fairly inefficient service.. perhaps you would like renting from this location. I felt sick when I saw my rental bill, even though I do what it would be. I don't mind paying a price for good service, as long as I feel like a valued customer. I did not feel valued. I felt unimportant and as though I was asking too much for getting a service I was paying very good money to receive. Should I find it necessary to rent from U-Haul in the future, it will be done at another location, no doubt in my mind.. Even though this location was the closest / most convenient, to my home.
