Clerk was helpful but did not know how to check in equipment. Should not leave untrained employees to work by themselves
First, I ordered 40 blankets, and she ran my card and charged me for the 40. THEN she went to her storage room and pulled out 2 plastic bags saying "That's all they gave me" - so she said, to look for a refund. It never came. I expected an immediate refund, but it never came. I got 12 or 14 blankets in those 2 plastic bags and had to unbox our own towels and bath towels and old coats to cover our furniture - very poor job U-haul. Blankets are common sense for renting a moving truck, so I don't understand why blankets were not available. When I told the returning agent in Fairland of my frustration, she very nicely gave me the 800 number to call, explain what happened - but to tell you the truth, it was so aggravating and handled so unprofessionally on the pick up end in Sapulpa, I just want to be done with anything called 'U-haul'. It's not worth the $30 refund to jump through the hoops and do the job the original pick up agent should have done in the first place.
There was a padlock on the door which I had to call and wait for customer service to find the combination for. It took quite a while.
Truth can had French fries and cigarettes in the seat and floor board.
Customer service was excellent but I have questions about the traveling fee when I hired people to move my things I will call later on today thank you so much
After waiting on two other customers with reservation difficulties as well,got the tow dolly. This location only has one clerk, so no vehicle inspection and no help if needed with equipment. The pivot on the dolly was stiff and needed lube. I did watch the how to video so that was helpful. This location would have been fine if I needed a crack pipe or bong " they had numerous choices" or to meet a dealer or pimp. Lost respect for Uhaul...
Was inside a convenience store. Clerk repeatedly interrupted the transaction and asked me to step aside while she rang up store customers on the cash register.
The person renting me the truck was not well trained. He could not figure out how to charge the credit card so I had to go to the bank and pay cash. This cost me an extra 100 dollars for a deposit. I ended up being double charged for the truck. This tied up a thousand dollars from my checking account setting off a series of problems. I did get my most of my money back , however I have yet to receive my deposit
Wasn't very familiar with the rental process, couldn't answer questions. Had to call for help on everything. Gave me the truck I specifically said I didn't want. Once he called to switch me into a different truck he didn't walk out to verify anything. Mileage and fuel level were incorrect. Just told me to mark it on receipt and keep receipt.
Demand retirement of broken equipment!
I received a call from uhaul staying that the location selected didn't have the size truck or the dolly's I wanted. Long story short. They told me to go to a different location and they would have the dolly's. They said they would email me the new location and information, they didn't. The location that I had to call and get (after hold time) did not have the equipment, and took forever to check out. I paid for (x) miles and I'm sure I wont get refunded the $20. The guy never gave me any total when I checked in. Said uhaul would charge me the correct amount. The whole thing was shady.
No one could get the trailer off my hitch so I myself had to unscrew the ball and have to come back after he calls a mechanic to get my ball for my hitch back.
I have a refund issue it's been three days and I dont have my $227 back I guess next time I won't reserve the extra time so it's not holding extra funds on my card
The store smelled like garbage. The lot had broken glass under the tires of the truck and garbage--specifically run over can-- in the grass. It was a location that does not have high traffic volume and did not feel safe if I had to visit alone. No inspection of vehicle prior to leaving. The attendant was slow on tablet, could not upload my license then questioned me about my reservation amount. I know it was expensive but I did not want the attendant to point that out. We had to load furniture pads and truck dolly ourselves as she was only attendant at the store location. She did not know how to hook up Tow Dolly. We ended up calling road side service for new tires at 10 pm when thankfully we noted the tires were ready to blow as upon initial inspection the bad spots were under the tire well and could not be seen. I trusted I was getting good equipment. UHaul lost my trust that day. I would have wrecked had I actually gotten my vehicle on that tow dolly and on the highway. I was told I would be credited 20 miles for having to go to Sapulpa to pick up my items as was not my preferred location. This did not happen. At drop off,the computer system initially showed extra mileage that I know was an error as I took photos of the odometer at beg and end of trip. It took several reloads for the computer to agree with my mileage. I never did get a refund of the overage of estimated miles (I didn't choose the mileage amount--UHaul did). Customer service via phone and at drop of location were great. Again the issues lies in with the pick up location being unkempt and the tow dolly being sent in such an unsafe condition with no knowledgeable staff. That location gains a higher commission from having the trucks leave but it definitely did not deserve the money it made from me.
Took a liking time to complete, system kept kicking out. Wiener was very nice but didn't have the equipment were needed shop ended up 2 separate stress to get all things because was in convenient store, not a u haul
Speed up the process
Even though I had put in all my information online, I still had to give her the same information. Also it took a little while to complete the transaction because she was the only person there. There were constant interruptions why she handled other customers that would walk in to purchase items. That also meant that I was responsible for hook up since she could not leave the store unattended. All that being said the lady was very nice.
Have the guy speak louder and more clear
Tried to over charge only wanted to give me 7.00$ back out of a 100$ deposit
Requested 5 dozen pads only had 2 dozen. Inside of box was caked wut dried mud and truck was generally not clean. Cab stunk of tobacco smoke odor. Never had this with U-Haul prior. Original pickup location was suppose to have 26' truck, but rented it without notification to main office.
I was not charges the price quoted and the man at the store couldn't explain things well.
The original location did not have the truck I reserved so I had to call dispatch and request another place. Rebecca at dispatch was quick to find a replacement that worked out great.
