I wish I had not been charged excessively for dropping at different location. Ridiculous. I was not about to jeopardize my safety, wrecking my truck or your trailer in continuing my journey in icy weather. And I got penalized financially for being safe. Because of this I will never rent from uhaul again.

Prices were REALLY high on the same trailer I rented 2 months ago for $250 less. If I would’ve known that would happen, I would’ve rented the trailer in advance. I did not expect it to be $430. I expected it to be $137 like it was before!

One issue came up. I was driving away from the rental location, and motorists flagged me saying I had fuel leaking out. I immediately turned around and went back to the Moving Store. We found that a siphon hose was protruding fromthe fueld tank, and fuel was flowing onto the ground very fast. According to the agent, someone was trying to steal fuel from the truck, but must have run away when the agent came to get the truck. If the agent had done a full walkaround, he would have seen this. but since he didn't, I drove off, with fuel spewing out of the tank. I need not emphasize that this is extremely dangerous. One cigarette out a motorist's window nearby, would have caused a serious fire. The agent was very nice, and he did everything to make it right. He did not require any refueling, and discounted the mileage charge. He did originally tell me he would waive mileage charges, but in the end he reduced it from$0.99 to $0.69. I thought that was ok, but really, he should have stuck to his promise and waived mleage charges. especially since it was only 26 miles total. I would like to be contacted byUhaul management to discuss this issue.

There was one issue. When I picked up the truck, it had a siphon hose sticking out of the gas tank. Because the agent did not do a full walk around, nobody noticed this and I drove off. Motorists on the road warned me that my gas tank was Dripping fuel. After about one mile, i turned around and went back to the store. The agent at the store was very nice and he did everything he could to make it right for me, which I very much appreciate. I think what happened is that someone was stealing fuel from the tank. upgrading the fuel tank with a 90 soft and divorce would avoid a problem like this in the future.

The last four times I’ve rented Uhaul there’s never windshield wiper fluid. Uhaul twice in a row has charged twice the fees, because of the stupid way you hold funds, charge full final rare, and it takes three to five business days for the holds to be released. Other companies have figured out simple math so they can turn holds into charges AND then just add the remainder of the charges for the final total. The last two times I’ve rented, and hear will be the very last times I’ll ever use uhaul. The clerks at the stores have been rude and dismissive when trying to get them to not charge twice the rare, for three to five business days. That’s our money, not yours. Say you go into a bar and order a beer, and the bartender says, we’re going to put a hold on your account for the cost of that beer till you settle up at the end, you might agree. But then once you’re ready to pay he charges your account for the beer and says you’ll get the amount we held back in theee to five business days. You’ve just payed twice for that beer and will be reimbursed half of what you spent that day in a week. That’s not cool and is an insult to everyone of your costumers. You treat every customer as a deadbeat. Shame on you and the clerks that perpetuate this fraud. Good riddance!
