Fix the app please it crashed several times when trying to drop off the vehicle
Your on line application is flawed. When I put in an alternate phone number, it changed the name on application. Big hassle! Took hours on the phone to resolve.
The GM wasn't wearing a mask and came out into the lobby around customers, the person behind the counter wore a mask but seemed irritated I mentioned the GM's lack of having a mask, saying "we've had lots of customers come in here without masks". From then on he seemed irritated and I felt like he wanted me to be gone ASAP (even though I dropped the topic). Wearing a mask is about protecting OTHERS, and/or making customers more comfortable. I'm not nearly as concerned as many, but I just see it as a sign that this company either doesn't understand and/or don't care about the concerns and/or comfort of their customers. That's not the type of place that will get my future business.

Could not get the orange key box to open after paying for the rental on line. Will have to go back to Brake Depot early Monday morning to turn in the key. Final instruction on mobile receipt was to check the van for personal items, lock the doors, and drop the key in the orange box. Got to the orange box and it said to hit the 'start return' button on mobile device. Could not do that as I was already done with transaction. A little confusing.
Nothing. Reservation and pick-up of the U-Haul was extremely easy with the help from Norverto at Brake Stop San Marcos. Will absolutely return to this location again for future business!
Super easy. Rental was exactly as expected. Easy on and off and there is a gas station next door.
The van smelled new :) I liked that. Norberto, the gentleman who did the paperwork was kind and efficient. I'll be moving out of state, wish I could do a one way rental in a van.
Person who showed up was a total jerk. Small yard but several empty equipment parking areas. Person directed me to park trailer in a near impossibe spot, in the opposite direction i was driving. I told him i would drop trailer where i was located, and i would help him push into the spot he arbitrarily identified. He said no if i disconnected the traler he would charge me additional money. Said he would drive my car to park trailer. I said no. " what do you want from me". He was a total jeck and disrespectful. It could have been a good experience rental except for this controllong jerk. Never again!
No Restroom. Attendant New, had an attitude
Concerned about the instructions i recieved regarding how to return the vehicle after hours. I was told by attendant to just return and take a photo of the mileage gauge. I was unaware of the other items i had to check. I returned the vehicle and drove to my home. I attempted to perform the after hours check out but was not able to. I returned to the rental place to complete my vehicle return. I would have appreciated if the attendant had done a better job explaining the process.

Quick, friendly service from Brake Stop.
Do not place vehicles on the road that have issues with the driver door lock (broken and could unlock it from the outside, I had to access the vehicle through the passenger door). The ignition had issues as well. It was difficult to extract the key from the ignition at times.
Fast and I really the app return car feature
Business was closed when I arrived on Saturday so I had no one to check in with. Even though they were also closed on Sunday, they confirmed receipt of the trailer and sent me the zero balance invoice. Very much appreciated.
The drop off location was to be open till 2:30 p.m. they were closed we went to drop off the trailer. No not on door, just locked. They should have notified uhaul that they were closed. Luckily I had someone with me and we were able to unhook the trailer ourselves. I met a customer that was to pick up a rental. He wasn't told they were closed.
Very helpful and friendly employee.
While the pick up was convenient, the mileage on the truck was completely off and therefore created a delay in picking up the truck. I had to call customer service and was on hold for nearly 20 minutes to let them know about the mileage discrepancy. All they did was make a note in the system, which did nothing to help me when I returned the truck. Also, the dolly that was supposed to be in the truck, was not in the truck.
even with an appointment had to wait.
