The 'oil change needed' light was on. I had told them before that it was on, but no one serviced the van. Also, the price I was quoted was misleading, and the total cost was significantly higher than what I expected.

The vehicle that I originally had reserved was not able to be opened and this delayed my original pick up by over an hour. And it was late at night and raining out. Suggest someone checks vehicles for readiness. The second vehicle that I was placed in (by an amazingly helpful customer service rep) smelled liked wet dogs and I mentioned that. The next day, in day light when I could see, it was noticeably dirty, muddy, dog hair inside. I again notified customer service who were very professional and courteous. Again, suggest that someone goes and inspects the remote vehicles at 24/7 lots for readiness.
Location was great. Vehicle was covered in dog hair. Rental app and experience were both horrible.
You need to fix your fucking app. Waited 40minutes for the agent online (SCOTT) to unlock the door after doing everything I asked. He disconnected. Then I had to call customer support with a long wait time. Took ANOTHER 40 minutes to get her to unlock it. I get done with my stuff and return the car in a hour Only to find out the second rep that helped me moved the time and the period I had the UHAUL for to 1 week so charging me a total of $1300 instead of the $30. No instructions on what to do on the drop off whether I return the key to a lock box or drop it in the glove compartment. Support had no idea what to do and told me to hold it for a day. WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE. Your app is broken Your customer support is broken and has way too little access to take care of things. Your WHOLE process is broken. Fucking fix it. Wasted 3 hours of my time and you still want me to pay. Shit service. If there was negative stars I'd put -5
Make the online reservation much more professional. Incorrect code for 24/7 lock box, no key in correct box, ordered 2 Dollys, not in van as ordered. Spent 1 1/2 hrs with cus Serv. Had to make 2 follow up phone calls to clarify order & bill. Will never order online again.
Your lock boxes are terrible. The codes provided don't work which means you have to call the 1-800 number to get a code. Took over an hour to open the box and then there was no key inside!! Not to mention they are extremely hard to open and close making it almost impossible to retrieve or leave your key even after you get the correct code from a customer service rep. GET NEW KEY BOXES!!! I'll never use a mobile spot again, I've never had a problem using uhaul for multiple things but I'll always go into the center from now on. Very unhappy customer and terrible experience.
I waited an hour because I was given the wrong code for the rental then I waited an hour because the lock box wasn't working and I was over charged!
Hands down the worst experience I've ever had with any company. I am sitting on the phone for the second time - 25 mins right now and still on hold (after 40 mins the previous time). I used U-Haul 24/7 and when returning the van, when given the code for the lock box to return the key, a prompt to review your garbage app came up and dismissed the screen with the code. So I couldn't return the key. 40 mins later, after talking to an incoherent "expert" I was given and code that doesn't work. Now I'm on hold again, sitting in a parking lot at 940pm waiting, with the key to a U-Haul truck in my lap. On top of that, after waiting for 20 mins to get "approved" when I picked up the uhaul, now when I return the van 20 mins late, you charge me for another sessio? And only because I tried to be accurate and put my true estimated time of use - when in fact I could have lied and said I needed it for 24 hours and been charged less? Wow. You are a garbage ass company and I have zero doubt you will be out of business soon. Never again. Oh and I'm on the phone now, finally, and there's nothing anyone can do. I Have to call back tomorrow. Unreal.
This experience was good until the drop off. The price I was charged was way off and very frustrating. The lock box had been tampered with and someone locked it back before I could return. I think something should be done about the key return because the box is right on the street and anyone can come mess with the lock box. I sat out at the location for over an hour trying to get someone to give me a code to return the key. I missed my buses that stopped running while waiting to return the key and had to spend money on a lyft. This is unacceptable that I have to suffer because your lock box system is inadequate. I am very upset with this service and would like some sort of discounted refund for this inconvenience. It is very cold outside and I'm stuck here waiting to try to return the key. It got so bad that no one ever gave me a code and I was given a number to call in the morning to return the key. I'm on public transportation and missed my bus and they expect me to bring the key back. Don't ever do 24/7 ride share with Uhaul because it obviously isn't 24/7 and it is better to deal with an agent in person. This was a nightmare of an experience.
The location description is misleading (it's not at Junipero Serra & Ocean, it's 19th Ave & Ocean). The lock box system is a disaster; the boxes are hard to use, and seem very error prone, and of the four U-Haul representatives I spoke to trying to return the keys, only one understood how they worked (and only two knew that they existed). Your billing system penalizes customers for trying to do the right thing; the cost is the same for say 8 hours or 23 hours, but if the customer tries to commit to returning earlier (ie, trying to help your business) and is 5 minutes late they are charged for another day.
