I rented a van at this location on 6/21/2018. I was not sent a receipt or charged until 10/24/2018. This is a difference of over 4 months, which is unacceptable. If an error was made, I should have at least been made aware of the charges or sent the receipt closer to the time I rented it. I was never contacted regarding an error, and just looked at my bank account and see I was only now charged.

The U-Haul app is horrible and gave me so much trouble when I was trying to use it to unlock the lock box. I called UHaul customer service and they were equally unhelpful. I realized on my own / from another person also renting the other UHaul there that when I accessed the UHaul website from my phone's internet browser, I was able to return the keys.

I’m sitting here on the side of the road unable to get ahold of customer service, because somebody shut the lock box in the 24 hours I was gone (because duh this is a street in San Francisco) so I’m not able to return the key to this stupid van as this stupid U Haul app doesn’t have any instructions on what to do in this obviously gonna happen situation. I go to look at the lockbox for the other van and, oh look, somebody broke into that lockbox last night and stole that van. Classic SF. So here I am, a young female alone on a sketchy street in San Francisco because I can’t return this van. If you ever thought about doing this “truck share” app pick up thing that was clearly thought up around a table of high af U-Haul execs who have never used their own service before, I highly highly recommend you reconsider.

The van was perfect in every way. It was nearby. It was exactly the size I needed. The process to rent the van, however, was horrible — including having to stand in the cold wind as a uhaul representative called a third person to verify that I was who I said I was, even after providing a selfie and photos of my driver’s license. What I assumed would be the process was what I experience with Car2Go. With Car2Go, I walk up to the vehicle, use my phone to rent and unlock it, and I’m driving in less than 30 seconds. Why can’t you be like Car2Go?

Reservation via the app for UHaul truckshare is awful. Glitchy and problematic.

The keypad was broken and I spent an hour on the phone with customer service until they figured out they needed to make another reservation. They claimed the refunded my first reservation and gave me a $50 credit for my second reservation but the full charges for both reservations are still on my card. It was the worst, and most poorly run customer experience I've had in years.

The pin # that was given to me to unlock the lock box for the key did not work and no customer service agent was available to take my call. We ended up having to not proceed with picking up the car, which was incredible inconvenient. In addition, while your mobile site said I wouldn’t be charged since I couldn’t retrieve the key, I have now received an email receipt that I have been charged and will now need to deal with that issue.

The app is very "buggy" the location has very very weak cellular signals for all carriers (I live in the area), so that week service makes it really hard to upload photo's etc. It took me 1 hour just to pick up the truck and over 1 hour to return the truck with the help of you customer service people (who were all very nice and helpful). I am not sure I would use the "share" service again.

The mobile app did not work. It took me over one hour on the app trying to check in with no success. I had to use the website to check out the van. Local rep at 415-570-4000 was very very HELPFUL. Thanks Fritz
