I originally reserved my vehicle location at Fulton and 37th Ave. The car would not unlock so customer service reserved a vehicle on Steiner and Hayes. I lost 1.5 hours of my time. Please credit me for this reservation.

We were delayed getting into our vehicle. When we first opened the app, it said the keys would be hand-delivered. After chatting and calling with agents for 30min, we realized I had to log out of the app and back in to continue with the process. Not a problem, but I think there should be a message telling me to do so from the beginning if I can't continue with the process from the beginning. There was also no message saying that the car would be unlocked remotely, so we spent some time looking for the keys outside of the van. It would be very helpful for future customers if these instructions were more clear!

My experience was good except for mobile pick up process which took almost 2hrs to retrieve my van due to a computer glitch of some sort. However, the mobile return process went smoothly. I will use Uhaul again.

I will use this service again for sure...but the app is glitchy. Before I was given the code or instructions to return the key to the lock box...the order closed. I was on customer service for 45 minutes with no luck until I was told I would have to return the key myself to another uhaul location.

The lock code was wrong. I was in the rain and wind for more than 30 minutes to open the lock box on a Saturday evening. I called the number on the U-Haul app, no one was answering. I called the number on the lock box who's in charge for the location, no one was answering. I was able to talk to someone much later but they didn't even say sorry. Very disappointed overall.

your sign up technology is awful. maybe the sign in to register when the time changed on me was an oversight on my part BUT when i got to the van and couldn't get on your site and was in a never ending cycle and then when your customer service could not figure it out and they had to reset and then i had to take a picture in the rain and my hat had to be removed and it took 40 mins to get into the LOCKBOX--really ditch the 90s technology. i've used maven without any issue. then taking pictures of everything and sending them and finally getting on the road and no compensation for the time spent or anything. i would never recommend your services ever

The entire transaction was very difficult . It took almost 40 minutes to get the vehicle . The app wasn’t working. I had to call 3 times . When I finally got the app to work , the key code wouldn’t work and I had to call again . The return was also not smooth . So many pictures you have to take is ridiculous. I thought the whole point of this app was to speed things up. At the return , because this location (the only one available closest to my house)is in a very touristy area , a car was parked in the return red zone spot and had to wait for them to move the car . Will never rent from this location again . Not sure I saved any money and for sure didn’t save any time .

I was able to return the vehicle using the app. But the lock box code changed and I couldn’t return the key. I ended up having to call customer support and live chat and it took 40 minutes to finally get the right lock box code.

There are still a lot of kinks in the car share system. Mainly at the end it doesn’t give you a code to drop the key. I had to wait 20 mins on phone and was late for work. It assumed you were at a normal uhaul drop. Then the customer service agents asked if I remembered code From when I got it. However that code is given to you mid process on with screens were you hit continue and it changes. So there is no point to where it says please remember the code to return the key or anything along those lines. It should just come up the end in the process when you’re checking in the vehicle back in.

My pain threshold for bad customer experience is very high and I never wrote a bad review as I can understand sometimes understand people can make mistakes BUT THIS DESERVES A ZERO STAR REVIEW (too bad that option is not available). Here are the reasons: 1.) THE APP IS BUGGY I went for the truckshare 24 x 7 service thinking it would save me sometime (oh silly me!)I was at my location to pick my van and I tried to go through the steps. However, the “pick up my truck” just won’t show up (no, I was not too early for my pick up). 2.) HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - part 1 I tried calling the support number but the guy clearly had no idea how to help and put me through to the “Traffic” department (What!). It was Sunday and that department is closed. 3.) PROCESS IS ANYTHING BUT EFFICIENT So I cancel my order and book the same van again to see if it works. It did but only barely. I had to stand near my vehicle and submit all the photos the app requested. I had to live chat with a representative for some time to get this done and finally they me a code to the lock box. 3.) WRONG CODE! After the whole process, the code provided in the app didn’t work! So back on the phone with customer service. This lady casually tells me “oh try this code”. It worked! But..... 4.) NO F’ING KEY There was no key! Unbelievable! All this after an hour of crap! 5.) HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - part 2 I am giving my feedback about this horrendous experience to this lady. There was “zero” remorse or sense of service. She asks me “ do you want to know the location of the nearest U-HAUL location...”. I cannot imagin how one can be so callous! Anyways, never using this service again!

Worst renting experience possible. Your customer service should be fired. 1) before renting, it was required to bring drivers license and 2 of the other verification documents. I brought my license, passport and a contact person s info. During check in, it was requested I provide another person's info for validation. I don't think I need this much verification to apply for international diplomacy, let alone renting a van. Customer service was rude, unhelpful and downright stupid. I had the van scheduled to rent by 730pm and it took more than 45 min to get into the car. Unacceptable. 2) Lockbox where the key is stored has a latch that's nearly impossible to open and close, adding another 10 min to getting into the car. 3) When returning the car, it asks you to take a million pictures but doesn't tell you what the lock box code is to put the key back, are you kidding me???? In summary, I will never ever rent or have anything to do with Uhaul again and I will tell everyone to stay as far away from your business as possible.

This was our second reservation. When we arrived to the first one on my boyfriends account, there were homeless people sleeping in the vehicle as we were checking in online and there was no one to call to resolve this issue so we had to get another car. As for the second vehicle, when we dropped it off, no where on the return vehicle menu did it list the lock box password so we had to return the key to a nearby U-Haul office location.

The pickup and drop off process were terribly designed. It took 25 mins both at pick up and drop off. The call a friend “security” measure is absurd and there was not a process /screen that clearly told me what code I should use to drop the key back off. It was extremely unclear that the van needed to be refilled to its original fuel level before return. It would have been perfectly easy for me to add gas, but I looked for a while and could find no mention of it — making this very clear and direct during the check-in process would have made things infinitely easier. I might not recommend this just because of that.
