I wouldn't advise the use for non-US nationals - it seems the overall system from booking through to vehicle collection struggles with non-US details (no way of logging a foreign contact number). The last minute notification of the change to pick-up location for the booking, coupled with a delay in time was very inconvenient. The drop-off was extremely frustrating as there was nowhere to leave the vehicle and the premises were closed - it took me the best part of an hour to get authorisation to use a private car park to leave the vehicle.

Was a big wrench in the day that took 30+ minutes that the dollys were supposed to be in the truck when I picked them up
Quick, fast and easy.
I was charged an additional $51.98 which was not authorized and not explained by anyone. We drove only 20 miles in the van and they charged us for a full tank of gas. This is unreasonable and not agreed upon.
This location has no place to drop off a rental truck or van after closing hours. They tell you no problem, after hours, just park on the street, leave keys in the orange box. There is absolutely no street parking, zero, nada in the location for miles of city blocks in the Gaslamp District of San Diego on weekends. Preposterous that an entire building, which is a giant city block Storage facility, has no pull in, drop off, street designated, alley parking designated, nothing designated even with a roll top garage or parking lot to receive back their vehicles, even if they only have two or three vans and trucks. You drive around fighting tourists, crowds, no parking and ramp up many more miles just having to call someone after your in your end of route and use to drop off and return the rented cargo van n or truck. I had to drive three miles away, find metered marking in a location that was only place to find a parking spot, unmetered on Saturday and Sunday, and finally returned the vehicle to Pt Loma at an actual U Haul owned facility and yard. Not exactly what I would call UHaul Brand Franchise worthy, and may have been convenient for pick up, but by Saturday evening after 5:30pm horrible for drop off. Won't be using Ballpark as a UHaul location again.
did not receive paperwork with pickup, no walk through with employee of the vehicle. Van was extremely dirty on the outside and inside of cab
Too much traffic and there is no where to park the equipment when you get back from using it. Would only recommend returning during the day when the garage is open.
Administrative staff is fast, uhaul was very dirty
The guys that work there are really awesome and helpful. Rented some furniture dollies and got some supplies for moving a couch and they were really great
Received a call the night before that we could not pick up the van at the reserved time and could either go to a different location or pick it up an hour later. The van was clean but there was an appliance dolly in there (no requested and took up significant space) and the van was on empty. But the service guy was great

I would recommend based on location, if needed. However -- the vehicle was DIRTY, outside AND inside. But guys, the real issue was not with the location OR the vehicle -- your app delivers an absolutely TERRIBLE user experience. I would LOVE to speak with someone about this in greater detail -- if you really care. There's a LOT to it, but in the end, I had to go into the office and wait in line to get my key anyway, which TOTALLY OBVIATES the reason for using the app in the first place. Just really, dreadfully bad. Awful.
Osvaldo checked me in and told me that they closed at 5:30 pm. I drove one hour through traffic and arrived at uhaul at 5:22 pm to find the door locked. I tapped on the window for 5-6 minutes before Osvaldo appeared and it was about 5:28 pm. I told him that I wanted to check out. He said that he had to leave. He came back to the door and opened it to talk to me and I stepped in. He then asked me to step out because he had to close the building. I said that I would if he would check out my vehicle. He said man-to-man that he would. Once I stepped outside he quickly locked the door and then laughed at me and said I am leaving. He escaped the back door. I waited maybe ten minutes and I could see where he might reappear to walk out. He walked out and I went up to him and asked why he tricked me. He repeated again to drop the key in the drop box and they would check it out. I repeated that I wanted a receipt and that I was there 8 minutes before closing. He refused to check me out and said come back at 9 am. I reiterated that I was worried about leaving the vehicle overnight in the Gaslamp area with a baseball game but he was not sympathetic and in fact rude and aggressive. I returned at 9:00 am today and he tried to charge me $10 insurance fee when I specifically told him yesterday that I would waive all coverage. I have never taken extra insurance especially for such a short trip. Ultimately he waived it but gave me a hard time about it and was disrespectful. Osvaldo knee that I am an MD and had an event to attend to at 9:00 and I didn't finish up until 9:15-9:20 with all of the difficulty. I asked his coworker Chelsea for his name and the name of the manager. Please have the customer service rep for USA Uhaul contact me. U haul should shut down this location. The van floor was not swept clean at time of pick up. I had moving pads which became dirty!

Great front office staff.
Worst experience I have ever had. The truck itself was fine but the location was horrible. No gas station near by so even though I went to fill up I was below the starting amount by the time I got to the location and was hit with a $30 fuel fee plus 10 for gas. Then even though i used the mobile access and brought the truck back a 6, the location was closed and with it the "lot" (which is really just a garage) I was supposed to return the truck to. I was not informed that the lot would be inaccessable and ended up getting a $50 while I was trying to figure out where to leave it. I'm never using this location again.
