Customer service is a very sloww process. And I couldn't get the key out of the ignition. When I left your building the service representative was still trying to get the key out.

Train employees on how to hook up trailers and to inspect before giving them to the customer. Our trailer had a. Broken door. We had to drive to another location and get another one. This set is back a day on moving, this costing us more money. Very upset with you overall.

I reserved a furniture dolly, but when I arrived to pick up the truck I was told they did not have one for me to use. Since it was a Sunday that I was packing the truck, none of the rental places were open for me to rent one.

The truck smelled like cigarettes - which I expect - but it still had cigarette ash debris in the cab. No Cruise Control and the locks were hard to lock/unlock with the key. It would also be helpful if the counter agents knew the fuel tank capacity and average MPG for each truck type.

Whether or not a vehicle inspection is required is less than clear. When I have called to schedule one, I have been told it is not needed. More clarity is needed.

There was a miscommunication between myself and a new staff member and instead of asking for help, I was mislead to spend money I did not have on a rental. She was not properly trained conducting sales that were not fully explained. Before that I Made a phone reservation that was not there when I got there which made the cost more overall. I was very disappointed leaving and received no help besides the return guy explaining to me what happened after already being charged.

No employees at the store when I arrived, despite being business hours and having confirmed twice earlier in the week that the store would be open at that time. Store was locked and dark. I called corporate, and after being transferred 6 times (!), finally an associate helped and was able to contact the general manager (after being on phone 45 minutes). When the manager finally arrived, first words out of her mouth were "My kids, where are my kids?" followed by grumbling about her employees not showing up and making her get up out of bed on her day off. She was largely unapologetic to the fact that I had been waiting outside her store for nearly an hour, thinking until that point that I'd probably have to drive an hour out of my to pick up the next nearest trailer that corporate offered me while on the phone. There were several other poor aspects to the entire experience that aren't worth detailing here. Entire experience was extremely stressful and despite my due diligence, U-Haul failed me on several counts. I would avoid this branch.
