The best thing about renting the uhaul was the customer service from person that rented it to me. He went above and beyond with accommodations. I misunderstood a few hings and he was patient and made it work for me. He was the best thing about the experience and I would recommend renting a uhaul from him.

This probably has to do with us changing the drop location, but not having anyone at the location 4pm Thursday afternoon was unusual.

The trunk ran well and the inside was clean. The outside was filthy and there was no washer fluid. The guy was very nice though and the customer service was great.

I did not like the fact that you had hidden a dolly and blankets on the back of the truck. Basically I lost many cubic feet of storage because of the fact you decided to try to sell me something that I did not ask for. If I wanted to remove it in case I needed that extra space I was forced to them be charged for it. I believe this is a very poor business practice. Because of this I may not use U-Haul in the future. Also the person who checked me out for my truck, basically just handed me the keys and said your truck is the one over there. He did not do any kind of a walk around or show me how to make sure I run the truck correctly.

No A/C, but it wasn't Uhaul's fault. Need to improve the process for refunding customers who do the pre-payment online but later need to modify the order.

The tank should be full. The gas tank was not full. Apparently we did not agree on the fullness of the gas tank, because I was charged an additional 10 dollars for gas even though I put what I thought was the proper amount of gas in the truck. This could have been avoided if my goal was just to return the truck with a full tank, not at the level I thought it was when I took the truck.

My experience with U Haul has been terrible at best. I would say 80% of the time I rent a U Haul truck, whether it be a trailer, truck or van, there is always an issue. The trailer I reserved over a month out is not available. I have to drive an hour to pick up the reserved item. The truck I reserved and self-served has a trailer attached I have to remove on my own, wheels falling apart, trucks breaking down. The business model and set-up of the business is not functional. It's never an Easy, Fun or Simple process. Orders aren't accessible online. You have to call in and wait to speak to someone who can't find the answer... the business model is broken. I'm surprised this company still exists.

First and foremost, I expect the equipment I reserve to be available at the location where I reserved it. Secondly, I expect the vehicle size I reserved to be available. Thirdly, I expect to return the vehicle to the original location where I initially reserved it. Lastly, I expect a clean vehicle. Unfortunately, I received neither of the aforementioned concerns. That said, all of the personnel who contacted me were professional and condiderate.

The lady working there I believe her name was "Nicky" was rude and unprofessional, when I asked her to not raise her voice at me she got up nd started yelling at me and when I was talking to another gentleman about the issue she's was just standing and giggling in the corner while being on the phone, Believe this is not the u-haul standard for customer service

Entrance location was confusing. Service was slow. Limited products to buy. Furniture pad rentals costs much more than other UHaul locations. The UHaul trailer was not properly secured. I was lucky that my trip home had no accidents. Any big bump could have caused the trailer to jump off the hitch. I was also unable to get the original price matched price when I picked up the truck compared to when I made the reservation (which occurred at another store). After multiple calls and discussions, I got a close enough price.

He charged me a cleaning fee when I spent 25 minutes shop vacing his truck to perfect! What a racket! Totally disputing this bill! I also got the truck on a 1/4 tank and retuned it the same and he charged me $45. No. Disputing that, also. Creepy location in a bad hood. Dirty. Unlit parking lot. Dangerous.

I have never before had such a poor experience with a vehicle rental agency. My pickup time and location were changed without my notice which caused me to expend more money than I should have to complete my work. When I questioned the change, I was told that the time could be switched back, but that the location couldn't (which I find hard to believe when you can drive it there just as easily as I drove past it). I arrived at the location on time to pick up the truck and found that the location didn't open for an hour and a half. When I asked about it, the call center manager informed me there was nothing she could do to rectify the situation. When I returned an hour and a half later, the office still hadn't opened, and I was informed I would have to wait an additional half hour to acquire the vehicle. I was informed by another manager that, at the very least, I would not have to pay the rental fees, but there were no notes left on the account to that effect, so I have had to pay anyway. I hope this is not typical, but I will not be referring people to Uhaul.

This location was HORRIBLE and I will not be returning. I originally reserved the truck thru the UHaul site for a 7am pick up. I recieved a phone call saying that the earliest I could pick up is 10am. Huh? Not knowing that this was a furniture store...why would UHaul even offer the option to pick up at 7am? I recieved another call from a person named Nikki stating that the earliest she could get to the pick up location was 930am. Cool, not too bad since I was trying to beat moving in the Sacramento heat. At roughly 915am on the DAY OF my move, as I was getting ready to head to UHaul to pick up the truck, Nikki calls me again...stating that she had a blow out on the freeway, she was stranded, waititng on a tow truck, etc, etc...the soonest she could get to the pick up location was 1130am. I am LIVID at this point. It was going to be in the 100's that day and I had movers WAITING to start moving my stuff. I understand that things happen, but is she the ONLY person who works at this location?? I asked her if there was a different location that would have a truck for me to pick up any earlier and her response was, "I can check but it's going to take me at least 20 minutes because I have to call all of my other customers first"...so if you are stranded on the side of the freeway, how the HECK do you have access to your customer information? Weird. Needless to say, I never got a call back from her on picking up a truck at a different location. She did manage to text me tho...to let me know that the earliest somebody could be at UHaul was 1030am...another time change. Man! My pick up time changed at LEAST five times...and I was updating my movers each and every time. Quite embarassing. Finally made my way over to the pick up location. There were about 3-4 people in front of me, one of which was waiting since 830am! I guess Nikki didn't have HIS information to give him a heads up on her situation. Poor guy. So another gentleman arrived to open the furniture store and get us our trucks. He was running around like a chicken with his head cut off! By the time it was my turn, there were probably another 6-7 people waiting for trucks. It was a mess!! I mentioned to this guy that I was promised a $50 credit because of UHaul's screw up (the area manager called me), he was very rude & said there was nothing he could do, nor did he know anything about it. Wow. Really guy? The entire experience was HORRIBLE and I will NEVER go thru UHaul again. P.S....I wonder if the $50 credit will ever happen...probably not.
