My Uhaul experience was horrible! I reserved a cargo van for a particular location and somehow the system routed my requested to a location I didn't request. I received two confirmations, one was for the location I requested and the other not. I called the location of the one I did not want to pick up from due to distance, and the gentlemen answering the phone could not explain to me why my request was sent to his location. He said that he would cancel it since I have a reservation at another location. A few hours later I go to my selected location and they have no van and no reservations on file. The Uhaul team on Auburn Blvd was very rude and pretty much told me oh well. I left pissed as I was moving long distance that day. I called in frustration, the gentlemen was very helpful and transferred me to someone does out of town moves. The gal was not able to get me a cargo van, but she was able to secure a small truck (at this point I'm happy to get something, but pissed it will cost more in gas). I get to the location of reservation, which was at a convenient store. It was very hot inside, the gentlemen made me wait for approximately 7 minutes as he continued on with his personal conversation over the phone. He asked me to write my name and drivers license down and I told him I didn't feel comfortable doing that. When he asked what location I was going to, he told me he didn't do one way trips. I'm complete frustrations at this point, I called Uhaul back, and was transferred to a gentlemen who had poor customer (not surprised at this point) service. He placed me on hold to call that Uhaul location and got back on the line to say that he would file a compliant against that location because he could refuse to do a one way trip. He then was able to find another truck on El Camino. I went to that location and much to my surprise I was able to get the truck. However, because I elected to pay for everything up front with the original reservation, the funds were tied up with my bank so I had to come out the pocket again when I was already on a tight budget. When I spoke with the gal she reassured me that wouldn't happen but it did. Also, I was told that I would receive a credit of $50 for my reservation that was not completed due to Uhaul's representative refusing to rent for a one way. I'm in complete disgust with Uhaul and their lack of communication and ability to follow through with their promises. I would never rent or deal with this company ever again. Stay way!!!!!!!! Their are many other options.

rented this same trailer last weekend. they fixed the flat tire but did not rivet back the bent plate on the tail gate. all lights passed befor we left in daylight . when we turned on the running lights they worked until we were driving and then we blew a fuse. there is a short in the wiring when under motion and flexing. left a blue tape note on the trailer dropped off after hours. called in am.

Make sure equipment is associated with reservation so peoe aren’t trying to get there uhaul in the middle of the night when they were called the day before confirming there reservation.

To be clear, the gentleman at the site was great. The lady at the phone was speechless. I called several times to try changing my drop off location to somewhere closer to my place, including the drop off office, online chat, customer service number. All the calls ended up forwarding to this drop off location. I spoke with this lady who claimed to be the manager at the office. I have to say it was the worst customer service I ever had in my life. I would not recommend anyone to call this location, especially speaking to this so-called manager. The return experience was great. The gentleman who assisted me returning the vehicle was awesome. He was so friendly that he deserves a better recognition. Perhaps "someone" should learn customer service from him .

I arrived one hour early. They only had 2 staff working the counter and the line was outside the door. My order was wrong, the contract total was incorrect and I had to do the math for her to prove it was wrong. When I came to return the trailer the next day the doors did not open until 9:05. Slow and later seems to be the standard for this location.

i was charged $103 for being late because my trailer had a plate (license) that was missing more than half of it. Broken off. I was stopped at Arizona/california check point and told to return it but was told by u haul to use it anyway. The whole situation was very unprofessional by Uhaul in Sacramento. Was told they would take care of it, When I asked about Extra charge. They did, they charged my credit card after I left without even telling me. I did not authorize the charge or sign for it and never recieved a reciept. Still waiting for a call back from them.

I had to drive from Vacaville (100 mi round trip) to pick up this truck. But I ordered it in Vacaville. You should work on getting the rental trucks to the customers' point of order.
