Everything went very smoothly
Well my experience started off by stepping in dog shit at 8:30am because where the truck was parked is where the owner of the place walks his dog. The warning from the gentleman in the office came a little too late. After that, the move seemed to be going okay and on schedule with the 9 hrs I allotted myself for the day. On the second trip leaving my loading location heading to my unload location the truck broke down. This was at 4:30 in the afternoon. So I called roadside for assistance. That in itself was quite the experience as the first rep I spoke to sounded like she was half asleep and couldn't get the words out to save her life. She didn't understand that I was still in my neighborhood a few houses down from my own. There is only one way in and out and YES the mechanic would definitely see the U-Haul truck where we were parked. After that, the gentleman who came to look at the truck arrived in 30 mins. Totally fine. But after that we were left stranded for 5 hrs with no explanation of why the tow truck never came. Needless to say I was furious and had to find a ride back to my personal vehicle til we could get this resolved. This move started on a Tuesday morning and didn't get resolved til Thursday afternoon. I took Wednesday off to try and get this matter resolved. The rep I spoke to Wednesday told me it was too late (even though it was 5pm) and the tow truck wouldn't come because they were afraid of being locked in the gate at the storage facility I was going to. Total and complete bullshit. So Thursday rolls around I had to take another day off and we finally get the truck towed to the storage facility and unloaded. The tow truck driver left and the U-Haul truck was parked outside the gate for whoever to come back and retrieve it. Two days later I get a call from the dealer I rented the truck through initially, leaving a message saying they are extending the truck rental out and I would be charged for it. I called back and explained that the truck broke down the day we rented it and it's in someone else's possession now. This just goes to show the lack of communication between customer service, roadside assistance and the local U-Haul dealers. I have used U-Haul many times in the past but this is most likely the last time I will ever use their services again. What a nightmare and I lost two days of work because of this whole ordeal. I was refunded the $84 I paid but what about the two days I had to take off from work to deal with this truck. Something must be done so no one ever has to deal with this again. Luckily I was broke down by my house. What would happen if we were in the middle of nowhere? Would we just have to â€œdeal with itâ€ and spend a night or two on the side of the road til someone gets it together? Unacceptable!
The truck can interior was very dirty. The windshield was so dirty on the inside we could barely see out at night due to glare from other car headlights.
I was very impressed with the professionalism and cleanliness of this facility's operation. Vastly better than most locations in the area!
I was very upset when receiving my final invoice. My $19.99 van rental became $79.00 because I was one mile over the 100 mile limit although the van was used for five hours. This was not explained to me during the rental process. When contracting U-Haul
Truck has roaches. Customer service was poor. I changed my reservation only to get there and not have the size truck I reserved. Which they should have told me before I came. Also unhelpful with letting me know which location had the size truck I needed. AND THEY WERE NOT WEARING GOVERNMENT MANDATED MASKS.
Reservation made online for 10am pickup. Got to location on time but system down and ended having to wait an hour before we left with truck. Dennis (employee) clearly hated his job and was severely lacking customer service skills. Wanted to drop off truck at another location but was told I could not (was NOT notified this online). Just a frustrating experience. Not to mention, 2 weeks prior, my sister rented a truck from same location to get there and be told her truck hadn't arrived yet and was sent to 2 other locations before finally getting a truck. Terrible customer service all around.
Had to clean my own truck. Shouldn't have to do that, especially during this COVID-19 crisis.
Truck was not maintained and one of tires blew out on me while I was driving.i was so shaken up my trip was delayed because I had to drive 15mph the tires on the other side had nails in them it was horrible

The truck swayed all over the place and I told the attendant at the location and he didnt seem to care. It took me two trips to move some cabinets I bought because I was afraid to load the truck too much and he wouldnt give me a break on the mileage!! Bad business. wont rent from you again and will not recommend!! I will also put a review on yelp.

Tire light was on. They said it had a bad sensor. The cab was a little bit dirty. After touching the steering wheel my hand smelled like poop. They should clean the steering wheels.

the rental process was easy check in and check out.
Self verification is very difficult. Besides having no cell signal, it requires too many open features/access to phone, would not work with DuckDuckGo browser or any secure browser had to reactivate the insecure data collecting Chrome browser and had to keep going outside facility and back to get phone signal. Do NOT recommend self verification to anyone until process is fixed. Needs to be less data intensive, less data collection on private phones, and should layout steps in one screen and allow process to be completed at home.
Did an awful job. Threw all my stuff in the Uhaul and made it worse for me to unload. Next move I'll rent a truck from Enterprise and do it myself. Horrible job!
This was the best U-Haul experience I have ever had. I have had many opportunities to use U-Haul.
