The store should ensure that any additional rental equipment purchased for rental is actually in the truck when you arrive. The furniture covers I ordered weren't in the vehicle when I arrived. I had to go inside the store to pickup the furniture covers. I used the 24/7 program to rent my equipment and I don't think the furniture covers would have been in the truck if I picked it up after hours.

I rented a 10ft at 5:38 pm on 7/3 and return it about 3 hours alter around 8:30 pm same day/same location. I was told the changes will be $19.95 plus $0.99 per mile. However, they put the return date of 7/4 at 11:29 am (the following day)! Instead of $19.95 for rental charges they charged me $39.90. why? I request the return $19.95 that you have charged me for an extra day whereas I returned the truck the same day. Charging a customer for the service you have not provided is not the right way to do business.

The furniture pads I requested were not there and could not be obtained. I had driven 250 miles and knew nothing about the area. One needs to have pads to move furniture properly. I was on a time sensitive schedule and this ruined that. I issued a complaint by phone call and am expecting a reply. I am also expecting some kind of compensation for the ordeal.

The location and the man that I picked the U-Haul truck up from was extremely helpful, efficient and friendly. However I had THE WORST experience with actually getting a truck. I reserved the truck I needed online and I was called by uhaul the morning that I was supposed to pick the truck up and they told me a truck was no longer available at that location and I would need to pick it up at a different location. The new location was a little over two miles away so that was fine even though it was further away from destination Whig I meant I had to pay more in mileage. I went to the new location and the man told me there was no truck available. He saw my reservation but it was double booked with another person and he could not give me the truck because the next customers had it scheduled for 2 hours after the beginning of my reservation and I had reserved it for 6 hours. We both called customer service to resolve the issue and we both were in hold for over 25 minutes. When someone finally answered she said she resolved the problem in the system and I could then have the truck. I asked her to speak with the man so there would be no problem and he pulled it up again in his system and he said it did not change and he was unable to give the truck. The customer service representative then said to just forget it and she would send me to another dealer. I then went to the other dealer who even lent me his own furniture dolly because there were none available when I had reserved one. This entire process took almost an hour and a half with the back and forth with customer service and hopping between rental dealers. This ordinarily wouldn’t have been terrible however I scheduled movers to be at my house at 915 am because the original U-Haul dealership opened up at 9 AM. The movers did not get started until 1045!!! 2 movers cost me $65 an hour. So not only did I have to pay over an hour extra for the movers because they weren’t able to pack up the truck but I also had to pay the extra money in mileage from the original reservation. I feel as though the time I wasted, the money I wasted which was more than my rental, along with the added stress of the disorganization that I should not be charged for my uhaul rental. By the way I’ve been holding on for 22 minutes and 46 seconds to talk to customer service about this issue while I’m typing this review. This is not how a company such as uhaul should operate. Please contact me with a resolution for this issue.

Overall the equipment and actual move were fine. However, the administrative procedures were confusing and error prone. Initially the website did not allow me to book, the schedulers on the phone were nice, but we had a miscommunication around dates that had to be corrected an apparently still wasn't right. This location had little equipment and no one who knew anything about trailers. Fortunately, the clerk was very patient and managed to straighten out enough of the problems so that I was able to make the pick up.

Location was close to Metro well maintained and clean. Representatives were friendly and efficient at getting me on my way, didn't try to sell me anything I did not need. Vehicle was new, clean and ran well.

They charged me for 2 days when I returned the truck within 24 hours. They charged me a bogus cleaning fee but I returned the truck clean. I have been trying to call for an hour and half and have had no answer. The truck itself was great. The end service has been appalling.

I was asked to return the equipment early, which I did as a courtesy for other customers. I returned the truck in a clean manner, both inside and out. The return store posted a "Cleaning Fee" of $55.00, which was a $25.00 Cleaning Fee and a $30.00 Late Payment Fee. The posting stated that if I paid the Cleaning Fee within three days, the Late Payment $30.00 charge would be waived. I believe this to be poor customer service and merely a scam to try and get renters to pay an extra fee.

Uhaul chose this location which was over an hour away from my house, and I have no less than 4 uhauls within 10 miles of my house. One of which is a very large uhaul location with numerous trailers outside. I really dont understand why uhauls forced me to go to this location even after I requested a location change.

This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with U-Haul. The central scheduling with our reserved 15 ft was terrible, not the several agreed areas for pickup. We lost 8 hours trying to find a vehicle. Ours never arrived until the day after we left and we had to do our own calling and found a vehicle which was only a 10 footer. Your central office wanted to send us to Virginia and Gettysburg for pickups-really poor.
