There was a problem trying to do the mobile check-out prior to normal business hours and was required to do a manual check-out of the vehicle when the location was opened. This delayed when I was able to get the truck and begin my move.

I return the U-Haul on time in the morning put the keys in the drop off box but I guess they didn't scan it in its a later the afternoon and I was charged an extra day

Although this location was fine, I should have never been here to begin with. I had made a reservation with the Tega Cay/Fort Mill, SC location at 2020-105 Gold Hill Rd, Fort Mill, SC 29708. It was for pickup Friday at noon and drop-off Sat at noon. After receiving my confirmation text and email, I continued making my plans for this move. The day before it was time to move Allen Boucher called me to tell me since he wanted to rent the truck to someone else that Saturday, I would need to bring the truck back by 8. That wasn't doable for me, so after telling him that, he proceeded to tell me it wasn't his problem and cancelled my reservation. I then had to go 12.8 miles out of my way there and back and then there again to drop the truck off, causing me to use 38.4 extra miles. The customer service I experienced from Allen Boucher was the worst and no one I spoke to seemed to want to help me. I've used U-haul many times, but I don't think I'll be back.

teach your people to be honest. was told I needed a credit card. when it would not go through, I asked if I could use cash. the answer I got was "no". then with no other way to make the sale, they took a CASH deposit.

The $19.95 truck ended up costing me $45.00 or maybe it was $47.00 I did not clear the trip mileage. They said I went over the 20 miles and charged me more. I know I did NOT !!!

The truck I had rented leaked during a rainstorm and soaked my mattress, boxspring, and assorted clothing and towels that I packed in the "Mom's Attic". I don't think this was the fault of the location.

I am giving bad ratings for this company because I can't seem to review Uhaul as a whole. We were never told verbally the truck needed to be back by a specific time only on a specific day, and actually we told the person who helped us we wanted the a specific drop off location because it was open later. Even knowing this, he still didn't inform us the truck needed to be back by 9:30 am. We returned the truck to that specified drop off site one hour late and explained to both the pick up and drop off sites the misunderstanding and their response instead of offering to help us get a refund for the extra charge was "not to hold them accountable for what Uhaul chooses to do" and that we could :only resolve it directly with Uhaul". I have called Uhaul multiple times requesting to speak to the area manager and now it has been over a week and still no response. Last time I called customer services told me the manage noted in the computer that the time was in the contract and we were not getting our money back, I told them that was unacceptable that a "manager" thinks it's ok to not return calls and take the cowards way out by just noting this in the computer. Still no call til this day.....We will never use Uhaul again for our moving needs and I recommend everyone else does the same.
