The van was fine, and the local rental location (Tampa Auto Repair) was great - but your online rental/return experience was frankly horrible. - I made the reservation on the Web at home - no problem. - I did the check-in at home ("to save time at the rental location", HAH) - no problem. - I arrived at the location, opened the website on my phone; my reservation was there, but no "Pick Up" button. - I installed the app (WHY must I install yet another app?); again, it showed the reservation, but no way to initiate pickup. - I called for help and was told I needed to go to the website - not to the home page, but to the /share page. - Now I had to repeat all the steps of the online check-in (upload pictures of my license, etc) and wait for several minutes for a process that said my application was being reviewed - which frankly made me angry. First, I'd already done this at home before coming to the rental location, so even the suggestion that my rental might be denied at this point was annoying; second, do you think your web developers could possibly have come up with a less tactful way to put that? - Then I had to go on a little treasure hunt to get the combination to the lock box to retrieve the key. - After all of that, actually _driving_ the truck was almost soothing. - Returning: both the website and the app gave me continual "There was an error processing your request" messages for several minutes. - When it did eventually start working, I had to take and upload eight separate pictures (dashboard, interior, driver side, rear doors closed, rear doors open, passenger side, front view, parking). Recommendations: If the only way to pick up a truck is to go to one specific page on your website, then REDIRECT ME THERE! Do not waste my time and effort on steps you will later ignore. Don't force me to install an app that doesn't do anything useful. Fix it (i.e. make it do everything the website does) or get rid of it (modern mobile-first Web frameworks can make dedicated apps unnecessary). Fix your return process: it looks like all those pictures are overwhelming your server capacity. Spin up more servers, or require fewer pictures, or something.

The gentlemen were very nice and worked together to get me on my way. Return was easy. Just pull the truck up along side the business after hours. Place any rented equipment in the truck cab to prevent stealing lock the truck doors and drop key in the drop box.
