The trailer leaked on my furniture, when we traveled through rain and snow. The rental price of U-haul trailers of this size/type (5X8) have increased substantially since I rented one last year for the same trip for under $100.00. The price for this leaky, rusty trailer was over $300.00 for the trip, which averaged over $60.00 per day, and is no longer competitive, and a very poor value for the price, in my opinion. A check of the Avis Rent-A-Car website offers full size sedans for $180-190 for the same number of days, total!

The gentleman helping us with the physical hook-up was WONDERFUL (so sorry I forgot his name). And Steve, who helped us at the counter was equally as great. The ONLY THING I have to complain about is that when hooking up the gentleman had us check the brake lights, and turning lights, but not the running lights - they did not work and we ended up putting the car's parking lights on for the drive back to Orange County, CA... Otherwise, fantastic! Thank you guys!!

You gave me a truck with 1/4 tank of gas. I replaced the gas and more but you charged me $47.00 to fill up the truck!!!! I but in a claim but expect I will get jacked!! I am a disabled Veteran and your people jacked me out of what little money I have.

The worst customer experience I have ever had with any business. I booked a 5x8 trailer. The vehicle that I have to tow with is older and recently purchased. I had concerns that the trailer wiring would not be working. With that in mind, I got to Reno 4 days before I needed the trailer. I called the location to inquire about the wiring and to have the vehicle inspected. The vehicle was taken to the location on Monday to have them look at it (pick up of the trailer was Thursday). Sure enough the wiring didn’t work but was told the wiring person was unavailable until Thursday. At which point I took the vehicle to another Reno Uhaul location to have them look at it and see if we can get the wiring fixed. I was told the same thing. They don’t have a wiring staff available till Thursday. (Both locations had their wiring guy on vacation at the same time?) Eventually we were told they could fix the wiring before I needed the trailer on Thursday. This felt more like they didn’t want to deal with me at the time and said what they needed to get me to go. Because I was unsure of this, I called the location again on Wednesday, re-explained the situation and was told the same thing. Wiring can be fixed on Thursday before the trailer is needed. When I came to pick up the trailer I was then told that the wiring cannot be fixed. They didn’t have time. I was mad at all points. I was as transparent as I could with the vehicle. I tried to work with the store to have it fixed and now was told it could not be fixed the day I needed to pick up items and drive from Reno to UT. Eventually the store manager agreed to work on the wiring. I was then told it would be ready about 2pm (already 2 hours past pickup). I came back to the store at 2:30pm hoping that it was ready. It was not, but was being worked on. I then stayed at the store till about 5pm when the vehicle was ready. At this point the store manager agreed to cover the cost of the labor and I paid for the new parts. This was ok. But I told them I would have rather paid the money and been out on time. When it was time to pick up the trailer the asked me what size I needed (be asked about 3 times by this point because I waited so long) and they finally went to go get it. After waiting for some time they came back and told me they didn’t have any available, all though the system showed some available. At which point I was asked if I could use a smaller trailer which I couldn’t. I measured what I had and needed the size ordered. If I could have used the smaller one from the beginning I would have ordered that one and saved the extra money. Eventually they told me they had one. It was set to be used to transfer some items between store locations and was full. They went to unload it and then brought it around but still had to check it back into the system and then check it out to me. This took a fair amount of time as well. So by 6pm I finally have a trailer to use. They hooked it up but unbelievably the lights

Have a few more units available. As it was initially there were no units available. After your agent checked all possible locations for our requested unit none were to be had. We settled for the smaller unit & was well pleased. Thanks to your agent that went the extra mile.

I received one of the older U-Haul‘s which was kind of banged up and I understand that and I do not have a problem with that but the interior of the vehicle was dusty and dirty in that was my only issue. The guys were all awesome and I thought they did a good job with customer service, excellent communication skills, and willing to go the extra mile to make me happy, so kudos to them.

The first time the truck broke down I was 10 miles south of Bishop California. It took 6 hours for a tow truck to come out there. I tried to explain to the unresponsive woman who answered my call that it was a heater hose. She told everybody the radiator was broken. She also said that your computer system was down that day. So it looks like you need to do some maintenance to your trucks and your computer system.
