I reserved a week ago found out yesterday that no vehicle available. They wanted me to rent somewhere 40 miles from myhome. I called and got ahold of a local representative. They found a truck. Today when I went in I got my truck but there were 2 couples standing there who reserved with no vehicles available....

I rented online a 26' truck and an appliance dolly at a certain location 2 days before items were needed. The truck was not at location I requested but it was look into by a Uhaul representative and located 12 miles away which I was notified and that was not a problem. When i got to site to pickup my items the site didn't have an appliance dolly but I was told that the site down the road a couple of miles had one. My thoughts are I paid a decent amount and requested these items 2 days prior to my arrival so both of my rental items should be at the same location especially if item is that short distance apart. A customer should not have to drive around town of use the mileage on the rental vehicle to pickup items rental items that should have been at pickup location. Locations represented Uhaul should have these items at pickup location if they have to go pick it up prior to arrival of customer. Very disappointed that I had to go out of my way to pickup items when I reserved ahead of time. FYI - if you rent an item from UHAUL online I would suggest you call the specific location you would like and ask if they have the item or can they get it before you reserve online to save you the hassle later.

Don't park your trailer is on a hill anymore. It's very hard to put the trailer on the hitch when it's got that extra weight going downhill.

It wasn't the locations fault for the equipment provided. There were all kinds of issues with the equipment.

First, Uhaul tried to reserve a truck for us 30 miles away from our preferred location even though there were closer alternatives. That would have added $60 plus gas to the cost of our rental. Second, the truck leaked. It was raining, and boxes inside of the truck were wet. Third, the company website defaults to renting pads, a furniture dolly, and other items. No matter how many times we indicated on the website that we did not need these items, we were given a truck with both. We did not use them. We did not break the plastic seals; yet, we were charged $10 for these items. When I called Uhaul to straighten out this problem, Customer Service refused to speak with me because my wife’s name was on the rental. They spoke with me to set up the reservation. They spoke with me to alter the reservation. Once the charges were made on a credit card with her name, I was suddenly persona non grata. Now my wife needs to use work time to correct this matter. All told, using Uhaul has been a frustrating and disappointing experience.

I got rail roaded tey switched truck on me and when i argued y they just blew me off and charged the card anyway. You could clearly see that it was a different truck the one i had had been damaged on the right side. And had a bracket behind the drivers seat that was not fully secure. The one he said i had wasnt the one i had been drivng... Jeffs ace hard ware i. Platte city is crooked and does bad. Business.

I don't think there is. Parking/storage is really tight, but there appears to be no place to expand, so I think they are stuck, moving things around. Manager that assisted me was unbelievably helpful. I won't rent anywhere else, in the future.

Confirm your information on the paperwork! They had my first name as James when it is actually Robert. The sad part is that the guy used my drivers license. So how did he get it wrong? Not paying attention? However they were friendly and easy to deal with,

I dropped the truck off after hours for it to be checked in the next morning. When I get my receipt, I see an additional charge of $12.60 for gas. I call to question the charge and was told that the truck did not have the same level of gas as when it picked up. The reading they gave me was less than it had in it when I went to the gas station to put gas in it before returning it. (The gas station is less than 2 blocks away). The staff is pleasant but I don't appreciate being charged additional fees for incorrect information.

I've used this location before when my wife and I moved into our new house. This time we were turning in a trailer. I went inside and there was no one at the counter, they paged them 3 times and the asst manager came out. After verifying my paperwork he had a helper get a fork lift and then we went to my truck. I unhooked the trailer and they used the forklift and put it in line with the other trailers. I had no problems with the trailer during my 800 mile drive and except for the initial slow start at the counter things went good.

This drop-off location acknowledged the wiring problem, take the trailer out of service, and assured us that someone would fix the wiring on the next business day.
