This is a big one! Years ago I rented an auto transport trailer. It had a hand crank winch on it. Now you don’t have these on the trailers. I had to buy a hand winch to try to get my inoperatable car on the trailer. If I had a hand crank winch like on a boat trailer it would have been quicker and I could have had the trailer back quicker and you could have rented the trailer twice in one day.

Not a happy camper. I paid for a 20' truck and when I went to pick it up I was told someone canceled it. The girl a tAce was great. She was able to give me a 10' truck. But we had to make many more trips to move due to having half the truck I has paid an extra day so I would have it. So the mileage is very unfair to charge me for all the miles. If something cannot be done to correct this I will turn anyone I know to Penske or other companies. I have used Uhaul in the past and have never had a issue until now.

I rented the vehicle on 8/25 and returned after hours and used the key drop-off. I received an email on 8/26 and the wrong rate was applied. I was supposed to get the $79 rate with 100 miles and $0.29/mile above that (I drove 123 miles). The email receipt said I was charged the $19.95 rate (twice), 123 miles x $0.69/mile, the collision damage waiver of $11.00 (twice). So the email said I owed an additional $54.64 due to this incorrect billing. I talked to Cindy at 860-517-8052 and she dropped the $54.64 charge. Was the vehicle check in wrong? It was inconvenient to have to resolve this wrong bill issue.

Had a 10 ft van and I told the cashier when cold transmission felt very mushey and not operating as it should. I sold rhese vehicle new and the one I had was not shifting the way it should. Every thing else was fine.

Poor reservation system. Trailer location pick up changed and new location did not have the blankets I ordered so I had to drive to another uhual location to pick them up.

Truck could of been in better shape, steering was loose and the cargo area was filled with mulch which unfortunately made some of the stuff we moved excessively dirty, wiper blades also could of been replaced which made driving through rain harder then it had to be.

We were overcharged by U-Haul. The receipt that we were given for what was SUPPOSED to hit our credit card was correct and then the amount that was charged was 25.56 TOO MUCH! When we called the location they said they couldn't help and we needed to call the 1-800 number... My husband spent 1 1/2 hours trying to get this straightened out! VERY FRUSTRATING ... Our Sunday afternoon plans had to be postponed to take care of this!

I would recommend a grace period of 6 hours before truck rental can be rented again my appointment was at 9am and guy was late I drove 45 mins their and back for no reason because truck didn’t get their till 12:30 then picked it up around 1ish because the people that had it ran into problems which screwed my day up when I had pre paid people from 10:30-3:30 $120 dollars and they didn’t even help me cuz I got to the house at 2pm I needed them for 4 hours not a hour and a half so no work got done my day sucked because of this delay I dropped the truck off with more gas and 15 mins early and the next guy was their to pick it up for 9 the same time I just dropped it off like what if I was late it’s a chain effect I understand your trying to make money and keep the money flow but your also causing confusion and hassles when people have everything scheduled out and your ruining people’s days so something needs to be done so this doesn’t happen to any more customers because the lady at the desk said this is how it always it your causing a huge hassle for your customers and employees

My rental was supposed to be in the Manchester/Tolland area and was moves an hour away a day before for no reason when I had the reservation a month ago. Truck had a big ass spider in it.

The location and people there were great. The issue is the U-haul system in general is a nightmare. On hold for 10-15 min several times, Gave me wrong information, and the person on the phone didn't have a clue what was going on. Just go to the store and rent. Never call U-haul, got to a dealer you trust.

When initiating my order I was asked where I would like to pick up the trailer, I chose Columbia CT, I was sent to Plainfield CT! The same thing at drop off in Spearfish SD. Why ask if me if you are going to send me somewhere else! I was double charged, once at pre-checkin on the website and again at pickup. I have used UHaul many times, but this was NOT your finest performance!

You guys need to work on the whole app/physical site integration. This Ace Hardware location and people are fantastic, but there were definite coordination issues between the online and in-store experience in terms of pricing, etc, that we had to iron out.

There was trash in the cab and in the box of the rental van several pieces of cardboard and plywood that had to be cleaned out. The 20 foot cargo van ran very well.
