The uhaul rep, Ray was extremely rude. We rented the uhaul on Saturday morning and needed to keep it an extra day. When we called to let the office know that we needed the extra day, we were told that the truck had a reservation and unless we brought the truck back Sunday morning by 9 am, we would have to pay $250. I called the uhaul 800 # and while I waited on the phone, the rep had called the location and came back on the phone and told me that we could keep the truck for an extra day and just pay the regular daily rate. When we brought back the truck late Sunday nite, we looked around for a drop box and couldn't find one, so we parked the truck next to another truck and went back the very next day with the key. My husband is a professional driver, he drives a city bus every day, he was the person driving the truck and since he usually works on Monday, we needed to bring the truck back on Sunday night. When we brought back the key, Ray came out and started chastising us cause we were parked in a "no parking zone". We didn't see the sign, the parking lot wasn't well lite. We parked next to the other truck that was parked there and when we rented the truck, that's where they had parked the other trucks. He told us that the police could have come and towed it and we would have to pay the fees. He asked if the office person who rented the truck to us had told us that they didn't have a drop box and we said "no". He went on to say that the reason that they don't have a drop box is because people break into the box and steel the key and steel the truck. So that's when I mentioned that I was over 65 and that this wasn't my first time renting a uhaul and didn't appreciate being told that we would have to pay $250 if we kept the truck an extra day. He then told us that this site was privately owned, I told him that wasn't my problem and that he was still representing uhaul. He then told us that we were acting hostile and we would not be allowed back into his office, and that we could never rent a truck from this location ever again and that we had to wait in the parking lot for our receipt. While I was waiting, for my receipt, I called customer service and told them in detail how we were being treated. I told the rep on the phone that this was the worst customer service I had ever received. Ray heard me on the phone, and came out and took a picture of the truck. I told the rep on the phone that usually in the past, the drop box is inside the door, so someone would have to break into the office and still would have to break into the lockbox. The rep agreeded with me and said that many of the locations are designed that way. The rep on the phone was apologetic and filed a claim and said that someone from uhaul would be contacting me.

We rented a truck for one day for $29.95. I took the $14 insurance option. I drove the truck 35 miles. I just received a final bill that is completely wrong, I was charged for 3 days, a $75 cleaning bill and was charged $42 for insurance. The total bill came out to $268.34. I planned on returning the truck the same day and was told they would be open until 5:00. I returned at 1:15 and no one was there. We waited 20 minutes but no one showed up so my wife called your 800 number and they told us to return it at a different location. We returned it to the alternate location the same day. I called this morning to dispute the charge and after being placed on hold for a while was told someone would call me within 5 days. Well, I'm not holding my breath for that call and based on the customer service so far I'm guessing I won't hear back from anyone so I am opening a dispute with AMEX. I was going to rent a 26 foot truck and car hauler to move to Arizona in a few weeks but based on this experience I will use another company.

The manager rudely interrupted me while I was speaking with the guy at the front counter. Fix the website under required fields for an alternate number. It is not required but, when I went in store they require an alternate number. I asked the manger to fix the issue but, he stated that the website is different from in store and if I didn't like it I can go to the concord uhaul station. Very unprofessional on his part

This guy J or Jay is a beast - rude, degrading, threatening, a lier, a theif, and should be removed from the position of renting U-Haul trucks. As long as he works there, I will rent from Budget. He tried to over charge me by $150. He is a thief.

The experience was very good until I went to return the truck and boxes. I couldn't find the original receipt for the boxes. The person at the desk was able to locate the original and was very helpful. Then the site manager "Jay" here in to yell at him and then at me saying that you need the original customer copy. I couldn't believe how this site treats there own employees and customers. I will post a negative review on all social sites and tell anyone who is thinking of using U-haul to never go to this site or use U-haul if they have other options. Chris

I filled out express checkout online. I was told no wait, pick up keys and go. When arrived was made to wait, present credit card again and when I asked what was the point in online reservation. No answer given

My experience was fine. However the truck I rented did not have a ramp and I was not aware. Until the mover showed up to move my appliances. I immediately called Uhaul and fortunately they had another truck available. I explained that I could not use the truck without a ramp. The representative was very helpful and I was not charged the full price for 2 trucks. I have always recommended Uhaul and will continue to do so.

I. Poked my truck online in concord,CA. Got a call from Vallejo, CA to confirm my pickup, told them it was concord that I reserved at they re booked me in Pittsburg, CA. both Vallejo and Pittsburg are 20 miles away from where I needed the truck so I had to pay for another 40 miles round trip. Not happy about the booking issues

At first, when I picked up rental truck I felt good about everything and was pleased with the service from the rep/female...but when I brought back and tried to explain to the same rep about my experience with the ties just falling off the hand truck due to me just barely sweeping while cleaning the truck. She said something in a rude manner towards low tune, "it's not that easy for the ties to fall off." I did not appreciate this comment at all. I felt she was assuming as if I caused it. The ties looked very brittle and told her I hoped I wasn't getting charged for this. Just fyi for future customers.
