I did not appreciate having to drive 30 minutes to another city to get a suitable truck when I had at least 5 uhaul locations in my city. It was not very convenient.

Two of the four tires on the rental trailer were well below recommended settings - one at 10 psi and another at 30 psi. I didn't know that until later after loading the trailer and checking all tire pressures before starting my trip. I had to check the tires every 200 miles and re-fill them. They had slow leaks.

I reserved my truck for Modesto at 7am. Uhaul confirmed with a truck in Patterson at 7am. When I couldn't change the city I confirmed 7am and they didn't open until 830. I preregistered to help with time but this shop needed all the information again. Very frustrating and very slow.

Sandy was a life saver. After getting told we could not pick up our vehicle at the time confirmed from the original pick up location in Wesley(would have to wait an additional 2 hours because no one was there to do the paperwork) we called Sandys location on 1st street in Patterson. She was not only friendly but gave us great customer service. We were out with our vehicle of choice and on our way. Would highly recommend anyone to rent a u haul from the Patterson location.

Although I replaced the 5 Gallons of gas I used, I was still charged extra $24+ for not replacing gas. When I called U-Haul, I was informed that my contract read I had 3/8 of gas. Fact was I only had 1/4, when I started & I returned vehicle with 1/4. I also informed employee that I had receipt from gas station. Employee stated she would talk to her boss & get back to me. She never got back to me & the charge was processed. So no, I will not recommend using this particular U-Haul location. I would, at least, recommend that it would be prudent to do a visual overview of vehicle with a U-Haul employee rather than take his/her word that vehicle is in condition she/he stated it was in. I was treated rude at drop off



Honor the discounts given by uhaul due to your screw ups with customer appointments and dont give customers trucks that smell like weed. Drove all the way here from turlock where our truck was supposed to be so we didnt exactly have time to argue with your rude, uninformed staff.

I thought the location in Patterson was fine. What was extremely upsetting was that I called a location in Modesto on McHenry to order the moving truck with the specifics of our move (26' truck, going out of state) they asked when we'd be picking it up, I told them 7 am. These questions suggest that they have the capabilities to fulfill the order. After I completed the order I go what I thought was an order confirmation and so thinking that everything was set, I proceeded to go about my life thinking the order was complete. When move day arrived, I showed up at the location on McHenry where I had made the order and they had no idea I was coming, the guy at the front desk said that he could look it up and he did and let me know that my order was sent to Patterson (an hour away from Modesto) and was scheduled for pick up at 10:00. The McHenry location told me that they only rent their trucks out for in city moves and that they could not request that our truck be sent to the their location. We would have to go down to Patterson on move day with our help waiting for what would be almost 3 hours for the truck to arrive. Needless to say most of the help was not able to wait and those that did were only able to help for a short time after we arrived. Bottom line when you order something as time sensitive as a move usually is, orders shouldn't be regarded as requests, and if they are requests the people at the location should be able to tell you that the request cannot be fulfilled as soon as it's made. I didn't order through a corporate office. I called the local U-haul location. After I got the truck I ended up needing a trailer too, when I hooked the truck to the trailer the brake, and turn signals didn't work on the trailer. I called road side assistance at 9:30 that evening to find that no one was available to help. In order to get serviced I had to take the truck and trailer to the location on McHenry the next morning (so much for an early start). I'm glad the truck was mobile, otherwise I guess I would have had to tow the truck to a location to get "roadside assistance". When I arrived, unsurprisingly, they had no idea I was coming but were able fix it after about 45 minutes to an hour. Overall I was needless to say dissatisfied with my U-haul experience.
