Almost every location that I have ever rented U-Haul from is slow. Twice I have done the early check-in online (including this time) and got onsite and still had a 20 minute wait while the personnel figured everything out. There is no point in early check-in if it does not work.

Grado:

Left front tire pressure was low, 23 PSI door panel recomends 35 PSI. I had to inflate myself. Rentals should be checked and inspected before renting. As soon as I started it it told me the air pressure was low and unsafe to drive.

The two gentleman that took care of us at that Exxon were two of the best and Courteous uhaul employees I have ever dealt with. They were very friendly and helpful. There needs to be more people like those two in the customer service business hell even the world, they were awesome !!

Process to pick up the vehicle was quick and easy with the online check in.

Grado:

Untrained staff. Primarily a gas station. It took 3 workers 35 minutes to sign me out. Provided an empty tank of gas but claimed it was a 1/4 full. I even used the pre-register function on the website. The day prior, Uhaul moved my pick-up locaton 15 miles across the county and out if my way. I had to pay extra when I went 12 miles over the allowed limit. Finally, when I returned the vehicle, the employee closing the transaction didn't speak any English and literally made me wait 15 minutes while he was positioning the truck around the gas station parking lot. This was literally the worst customer sevice experience I've ever recieved.

Ensure that blankets are available. When a customer goes to the trouble of reserving and paying for the blankets, and the person confirming the rental on the phone indicates that the blankets are there - the blankets ought to be there.

Grado:

The explained the first location was not helpful as they should have told me to rent a bigger truck.

Grado:

Prices are way too expensive. Why in the world does a less than three hour rental cost $120?? I understand Mileage and such but a same day rental price should be rethought.

Staff is highly untrained I rented the vehicle for 4 hours. One of those hours was sitting in check in and check out

Grado:

Agent couldn't speak English. Another agent assisted my turn-in and informed me since I was an hour late I had to pay an extra day, plus associated fees such as insurance etc. That hour cost me $113.00. This is exploitative. The agent was helpful but did not have authority to adjust the charges. So I paid a total of $275 for a 24-hr period, plus one hour. That's not only an uncompetitive price but it's just plain bad business practice. This is the last time I will use Uhaul, in spite of my last 20 years of relying on Uhaul for my moving needs.

Grado:

I really valued having a new truck. It gave me the confidence that we would make out 500mi trip without incident. However, to not have cruise control for a trip of this length was very sad. I could have maintained a more consistent speed, and reduced wear and tear had I simply had this feature. Also, since satellite radio was not an option I used the regular radio...but drove 4 states away. So finding a new station required me to constantly push the SEEK button? Am I to understand that a SCAN button would cost that much more? Lastly, the side-view mirrors were superb: big, two perspectives, etc. But they are not adjustable! Really? You mean driving a truck the rare time I do, you want me to constantly lean back and forth to use the mirrors instead of arrange them the way that would make it easiest and safest? Sorry, not sure I understand that decision.
