Guy working the desk wasn't smooth with the handoff both times. Nice guy super courteous but seemed like he was confused on the process so took a little long to pickup and drop off.

Very difficult to obtain keys for the vehicle, it’s an unmanned location. Took over 1.5 hours to finally get the keys. There was another patron there that had the same problem as I did. And for what I paid for the rental to do everything myself on return of the vehicle no thanks. I will be asking for a refund.
Lou ZThis location had absolutely no clue, as to how to service the rental of the van I reserved. The U-Haul "person" wasn't there and the guy at the counter couldn't get in touch with him. About the truck... The new van smelled horrible from mamajuana and cigarettes. A very thick disgusting smell that wouldn't seem to go away. I had to drive with the windows down in the cold and rain. It barely helped. The van was also filled with debris all over the floor. And the gas was so low (Two lights were lit) that I was forced to put in gasoline before I began my trip. Finally, when I went to return the van, the drop box lock would not lock. I had to come back the next day to drop off the key to an attendant, inside the gas station. Never again at this place!
GERALD DFor starters, when the i returned the truck. The guy that was working did not check the vehicle in as being returned. I was charged for another day. I did not appreciate that at all. Also was told I had to wait a couple of days to get a refund. I returned the vehicle the same day. I will not use u- haul in Paramus again.
Raquel SThis Location provided a vehicle with no gas and no equipment for applicance which was rented in advance and paid for. I sent them an email for the Gas had to fill with at attached reciept both while returning the UHaul and also as an attached in my email. Its now 5 days and no response from UHaul. I will wair two days and then direct my credit card company to reverse the excess charges they have charged me.
