They clearly have no idea what they're doing there. They had 2 reservations and 2 trucks, yet they got greedy and decided to rent 1 out anyways... I had to wait an hour after driving 70 miles to pick it up. Lame.

To whom it may concern: My experience was less than ideal. I reserved my uhaul at the location nearest my residence on Atlantic Blvd., in East Los Angeles, which was within walking distance for me. I was called the day before my reservation and informed that my truck would have to picked up from a location 4 miles away. This meant that I would need to find a ride to the location, which I ended up needing to order an uber ride at an addictional cost. Upon arriving to my uhaul outlet location, the attendant Frank Lopez was courteous and helpful. No complaints there. My most major complaint was the condition of the cargo space. After doing the walkthrough for dents and damage, I received the keys and drove off. I stopped at a nearby gas station to fuel up for the day. I opened the box hatch and immediately smelled a rush of cannabis odor coming from the interior of the cargo area. I thought that perhaps a passerby was smoking nearby. The odor was that strong, but upon further inspection, I found remnants of a previous cargo haul that was absolutely used to transport cannabis. I found leaves, buds, stems and ash all throughout the floor of the cargo  box. I documented the findings and will attach the photos once I am given an email to send them to. I was out of options and time as I had to meet my movers immediately. After a few comments from my helpers and family how strong the odor was, we proceeded to load the truck up. As the heat of the day ascended, so did the odor. I had expectations that it may transfer the odor to my belongings. But I proceeded because again, I had to move that day as planned. Upon arriving at my destination and start the unloading, the opening of the gate brought the same strong rush of odor. At that time, I decided that my best option was to unload my items in the garage of my new place and let them air out in there. I had fabric dense items such as area rugs, sofas, mattreses, clothing and other misc. items that for certain smelled odorous. That is totally unacceptable. And since I was also not able to have my movers help me move the items into my new place that night, this will cause me added loss on this move and cause an additional expense of time and money. I will be needing help to bring the bulky items into the house as planned. To make matters even worse, my drop off location charged me for an additional day rental and insurance charge. I attempted to use the online check in service the same night as my rental origination, but the location map was not functioning and the service was not allowing me to procede the checkin. But I did not return the truck at 11:17 am on 9/16 (most likely the time the location checked the truck in), as noted on the return receipt, but at 10:30 pm on 9/15. I dropped the keys in the box and parked the truck next to another uhaul truck parked in the same lot. There must be cameras in the shopping center that can prove such facts.  I even left the truck with

I called and made a reservation for a 17 foot truck, I got a reservation number and all but when time came they didn't have nothing, how and you reserve something you don't have, it was really a fucked up situation cause o had hired the workers and it was very, very terrible, I will try Penske the next time

Uhaul had me picking up my truck at 1015, I arrived at 10 to find others waiting as well (they ended up being relocated to another uhaul last min because this location only had one truck) After calling uhaul and being on hold for 10 mins I finally got through only for the call to be dropped. Luckily the store owner showed up soon after and informed me that she does not open until 1030 on weekends and this was not the first time they have sent her customers before she is even open. I finally got my truck and it was smooth sailing from there but it set me back an hour which was very inconvenient. The lady was nice, but I always seem to have problems with the 3rd party uhaul locations.

Truck to be maintenance for driving. Windshield wipers don't work, air conditioner did not work at times. Engine did not seem well. Seat belt to passenger did not work at all.

Bad customer service I hate how they are very unconsideret and don’t have the truck I needed and I had to rent what was available and they couldn’t give me a discount for not having the smaller truck and or at least giving me the dolly for free!! I hope they improve but for now definitely not recommending

I told the associate about the odor of gas being emitted from the vehicle while driving and the need for the vehicle was not fully taken advantage of per my rental. I had to return the truck without finishing moving. I am still waiting on a representative to contact me regarding my complaint. Thank you.
