Charged me for 13 more miles at .79 a mile and gas was not half full when started trip. Probably only over charged about $15-20 over all. Need to have more than one worker helping customers first thing Sunday morning to cut down the nearly 1 1/4 hour wait in line time.
When a rental reservation is held with a specific credit card it should be used to finalize payment at pickup. NO MATTER WHO THE HELL IS PICKING IT UP if that person is the one renting the DAMN TRUCK !! PICK UP THE DAMN PHONE and VERIFY the Card Holder you took the Card information from to RESERVE THE TRUCK TO START WITH ! Don't RECHARGE on a DIFFERENT CARD of the person picking up the damn Equipment !! What kind of IGNORANT BUSINESS PRACTICE did this IDIOCY Derive from !! The person picking up the equipment MAY NOT HAVE A DAMN CC !!!!!!! What the HELL is WRONG with you ??!!!!
Not double charge my card for 2 days when I only used one, not charge me for an expensive insurance option when I only chose the basic one, and not charge me for using 63 miles when I only used 28. Luckily I took a picture.
This was a bad experience. When I reserved the pick-up truck and motorcycle trailer at your location, I was told that it would be $38.95, with the first 100 miles free. After that there would be a charge per mile, which I agreed upon. All of this information was verified in an email. When I arrived Saturday morning to pick up the rental, I was told that it was $78.95, and no free hundred miles. The signs behind the desk clearly refute this. The "manager" went on to say that the employee you booked my rental (Dawn Davis) didn't know what she was talking about. He finally 'agreed to give me' the first 100 miles, but wouldn't budge on the price. He sounded like a bad used car salesman. But I needed the rental, so I left. My round trip journey was around 220 miles. When I returned, the rep who logs me in tells me I went 386 miles over the free 100, and my bill was now $212. I demanded to see a manager. She brought me inside, and told me she would get a manager. I waited 20 minutes. I had to leave due to another engagement. I spoke to my bank, and they were also useless, I will never use U-Haul again. Terrible customer service, and fraudulent behavior..
speed up rental process
Dawn was wonderful. The truck and trailer we rented were in top condition. Very happily surprised at the comfort of the cab as well as control of the car carrier even driving through mountains. All in all an excellent experience and worth every penny.

Everything was great and 19.95 per day was awesome but with all else added it came to 41.00 plus because they added 0.95 cents per mile. We didn't know this and we put gas in it too which is what is expected. Over all it was clean, people were very nice and very organized and equipment was in tip top shape. Just remember it's more than 20.00 per day.
We were waited on right away, then there was a mix up with the van they were renting us. We had to wait until they fixed the mix up. When we came back to drop off the van, we had to wait awhile again. I don't think they have enough staff for everything involved. We didn't mind the wait, but if someone was pressed for time, they would be upset. Other than that the staff were very helpful and friendly!
Everyone that I dealt with from pick up to attaching it to the truck to the return were fabulous. Everyone was knowledgeable, friendly and all had a great sense of humor! Keep up the GREAT work!!
Didn't really need the insurance since I was traveling in the local area, but the seller's pitch was too hard lol.
Uhaul reported the Vehicle I rented as stolen, without calling me or emailing me first. After receiving a voice-mail from the sheriff, I called Uhaul to fix the misunderstanding. I asked for an extension on the vehicle, and they granted it to me. I made sure by asking several times that everything was good, and they assured me it was. 2 nights later, I get pulled over, arrested and beaten up by local cops for "stealing the uhaul" that I had fixed. They towed the uhaul. Uhaul now expects me to pay for the Towing Fee, after removing over $1500 from my bank account. I'm never doing business with Uhaul again.
I was unpleasantly surprised to discover (after arriving at my loading location) that U-Haul's 10 foot truck didn't have a loading ramp which made loading harder (all of us are over 65). If I had known when I rented, I would have bumped up to the size that -did- have a loading ramp.

I was surprised that no one was masks especially inside. Also person who went and got truck for us was smoking. Unacceptable

I was surprised with additional charges and no explanation. The person who checked me in didn't bother to review these extra charges, just told me I had a receipt in my email. That's not customer service AT ALL
The location given to me they do not accept the trailer and worst of all speaks limited English. I had a difficult time finding a drop off location. Also the recorded message on the phone was to give the directions but it went every time to a litany of ads but no directions.
Employees should be wearing masks, equipment should be clean, in good repair, and the proper add on supplies loaded and ready to go. Online process just led to dealing with employees anyways, and the lack of rental agreement from the online system made it difficult for employees to fix issues.
