The trailer had a bad tire. The core was showing and I didn’t see it till I was an hour away. I was scared to death I would have a blow out and cause an accident. When I called the facility where I rented it they said if I had trouble I could call 1-800-uhaul for road service. I rented the trailer at 3:15 pm for $24.95 for 24 hours. When I took it back at around 10 am the next day I was told I owed for a second day because they had put 9:15 pm of the previous day (6 hous from time I rented it) on the contract . After requesting to call the local manager I was told they would correct the paper work and I would not have to pay for a second day. I should not have to go through this kind of poor sales practice in a company that is as large and previously respected as uhaul is.

Two rivets were missing from the top of the trailer, which, I believe, contributed to some leaking. One box was damp, but no damage to the contents. Suggest they make a thorough inspection before assigning trailer. The people are nice; they just need to inspect their trailers!

They didn’t offer any help or direction in where to put the equipment. They were supposed to be open until 5:00PM. I arrived at 4:50, and it was all she could do to rush me out of there, so she could leave before 5:00.

No one was available to accept my return when I returned it the day after I rented it on Wednesday (Dec. 27th). I called the owner and he notated for me to leave it in a particular spot and that he would be back shortly to return it in the system. I noticed on Friday Morning that it was still showing active on my profile and so I called the owner and he stated that he remembered me calling him that day and it should've been returned in the system but he would go back on and see and it was at that time that is showed returned.

I needed to rent the trailer one extra day, but was charged for five extra days. When I mentioned that to Bill seemed higher, my concern was dismissed. I caught the mistake once I got home. To get the extra charges removed from my bill I had to phone a Central office . Apparently local franchises are unable to credit Your account.

I signed up for mobile check in when I was ready to return my truck. I got there and completed all online steps (taking pictures, making sure everything was clean, etc.) only to find out there was a sign on the door saying I could only return my UHaul on a certain day between certain hours. This was inconvenient because I was told I could drop it off using the mobile drop off only to find out I have to wait until the morning to "officially" turn in my keys.
